Pigmented skies of strawberry hues
Tinted tangerine, lemon, peach, and pale blue
Stretching out to infinity and yet caging us in
A beautiful and ever-changing prison.Dark navy and teal shimmer in the ocean
Too deep and too dark for us to quite reach them
A sparkly, salty, shimmering sea
That keeps us from reaching down beneath. The olives and forest greens of the trees
Towering high with plumage of colorful leaves
A forest of individuality, differentiation
That only keeps us trapped beneath them.A planet full of heart-stopping life
With laughter and people free from most strife
It keeps us close, sheltered under its wing
We just forget about the secrets it's keeping.
