I am burning down
From the inside out
Will I simply fade to ashes
Or will a supernova come about
Embers and sparks
Drift along with my breath
Burning my nose and throat
Shimmering but tasting of death
My skin glows with warning red
A vicious heat pounds in my head
Flickering flames dance teasingly
A warning light that laughs at me
I am crumbling down
My walls collapsing
My perception is warped
The world is melting
I am dying
The flames take over
I am ashes
Not a supernova
I am nothing but I am here
I am rebuilding from pain and fear
From these ashes I stand again
A fiery demon you thought you had slain
I am a phoenix and I am undying
You might have failed but I applaud you for trying.
