UIL was basically the same as last year.

This is how it went.

~

I walked into the bus during second period. The only thing on my mind was that we were going to UIL again! Even though I did this already, the feeling seems new and fresh.

I plopped down in the seat next to Julia (a clarinet) fixing my bowtie. I looked around seeing who I will spend my next few hours with and saw a bunch of clarinet dudes behind us and the flutes in the front of the bus.

Looking around once again, I noticed the empty seat beside us, so I switched to the other side of the bus and claimed my territory, since there won't be a lot of people on this bus.

I sat on the seat with my legs on top of it so I was lying down.

I put my head back, closed my eyes, and fell into an unexpected nap.

~

I woke up with a sudden jolt from the bus, and yawned as I tried to look out the sunny window. Outside the window was the same school that we went to UIL last year, and we were just pulling up to it.

When I was fully awake, everyone started to assemble their instruments together, and so did I.

"Let's do this." I said quietly as I yawned.

~

Everything in UIL went exactly the same as last year. Nothing changed.

I walked outside with everyone right after we played our music for the judges.

I whispered to Anthony, "Remember when my foot joint fell last year at this spot?". He nodded then laughed.

Then a metal sound rang my ears as a stepped on something. I also noticed how my flute felt lighter.

"Oh heck no..." I whispered and look downed. What I saw was that I STEPPED on my flute. Well, foot joint.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no...", I repeated as I picked it up. I saw a few deep scratches, but it still seemed work.

Unlike last year, I actually minded. My poor baby (flute) got a few large deep scratches! What band nerd won't mind?

~

The whole ride back to school was the same. My friends and I were actually one of the the first people to sign the trophy.

Yes, trophy. WE GOT A ONE. Everyone celebrated, while I was too tired and fell asleep.

Yep, nothing changed at all.

EY GUYS, first days of band camp...TIRING. Even though we only did 6 hours a da these two days...

Next week it would be around 10 or more hours...WHAT FUN..

Actually band camp was really fun, and I can't wait to write about it.

And btw, I'm thinking about changing the title cause it could have a better title.
