I change into my clothes quickly and sat on the bed, why the hell was Alison staring at me. I thought she was straight, she has a boyfriend for crying out loud.
"I'm sorry em" Alison says sitting next to me on the bed. She's pretty close to me and I don't know how to feel about this.
"For everything"
"Huh?"
"Well for slapping you, staring at your ass and tits"
"And why were you? Aren't you dating Noel?"
"Can't a girl admire another girls body without being gay?"
"Well it's not a common thing, Ali"
I turn around to grab my bag, I put it on my lap and grab my pills and a bottle of water.
"Em?"
"Mmm?"
The nickname em was kinda cute, I gotta admit that.
"What are those pills for?"
How do I explain this? I'm just gonna think of an excuse.
"Anxiety" I say bluntly
My eyes widen, fuck. So much for an excuse!
"I mean, e-ermm. Headaches"
"Oh shit, nice save there Emily you idiot!" I think to myself.
"Hey, you don't need to be ashamed. We all have secrets."
My eyebrow raises
"And what might yours be?"
Alison's POV
Should I tell her I'm gay? I mean, she's gay. She'll obviously understand. But, what if she tells everyone?
"Ali?"
"Mmm, what, sorry?" I say shaking my head.
"You've been staring into space for like 3 minutes"
"Oh sorry"
"I ermm, I have secrets"
"Care to share?"
"I-i don't know"
"Hey, you can trust me. I've been keeping secrets since I've been in kindergarten"
We both chuckle and I push her arm playfully.
"Well, I'm erm... not what everyone thinks I am"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm..."
"Ugh, I can't say. I'm scared"
"Ali"
Emily puts her hand on my shoulder to reassure me.
Why is this so hard to say, I am who I am. Why do I have to hide who I am because my parents are scared of their only daughter liking pussy.
"I'm gay" I quickly say
"Oh..My..God"
"Ali this is huge!" Em says getting excited and starts to hug me.
"Woah woah woah, calm down there"
Her reaction is the reaction I want everyone's to be. Happy, excited, supportive!
But, who am I fooling? That would never happen to the popular barbie of rosewood who has to keep her popular reputation up and of course date Noel.
