Ten minutes passed and the doorbell rang.
"Ooo, our pizza is here" Emily sang whilst placing the bag of chips on the glass table in front of the sofa.
"Hopefully it's still war-" Emily froze when she saw the person stood at the door.
"P-Pam" Emily stuttered out.
Emily felt paralyzed stood at the door. Should she let her in? Should she slam the door in her face? What should she do to the woman who threw her away like she was trash?
"Emily" The older woman let out a shaky breath.
"Can I come in?"
Emily looked back into the living room where the beautiful blonde sat, looking very confused. "Now really isn't the time, Pam. I'm kind of in the middle of something right now" Emily explained, nodding her back to the blonde so that Pam would understand the situation.
"Emily" Pam's voice snapped. "The doctors told me they fixed you. What the hell are you doing with a slut!"
"Excuse me! You have no right to have a say in what I do, you lost that right 5 years ago when you abandoned me!" Emily roared. Seeing her mother triggered every memory in her mind of her parents and what they did to her.
"Don't you dare speak me to me that way!" Pam's hand came into contact with Emily's cheek. Alison gasped, she had seen enough. She stood up and slowly walked over to the door. "Listen, Pam" Alison hissed. "I have no idea who you are and-" Alison was interrupted by the angry woman. "No, you don't! This is between me and my daughter so you better-" It was Pam's turn to be cut off. "I better what? What are you going to do huh? Slap me too?" Alison challenged. "I dare you"
Pam huffed, turned around and walked to her car, muttering words under her breath.
Alison slowly closed the door, not wanting to startle Emily. Alison turned around and she literally felt her heart drop. There stood Emily, tears running down her face but showed no sign of emotion. "Em," Alison whispered. "I.. I'm so sorry" Emily kept her eyes glued to the ground. Emily slowly walked to the kitchen and the only thing Emily could muster up was "I need a drink"
And that was the day that Emily went back to drinking her sorrows away.
The next day was rough for Emily. Alison did stay over night but she slept on the sofa to give Emily space. Emily didn't sleep at all, flashbacks and old, horrible memories prevented her from getting any rest. Emily dragged herself out of bed and into the kitchen, the smell of food instantly hitting her nose. She turned to see Alison stood cooking food. Wow, Emily thought.
"Good morning" Alison smiled. "morning" Emily mumbled whilst walking over to the pantry stored with alcohol. She grabbed a small glass and a bottle of whiskey. "Em, it's 11am" Alison pointed out, nervously. "So?" Alison placed Emily's breakfast in front of her. "Em, you don't need to drink. Please" Alison begged, she knew what Emily was doing and it hurt Alison to see the woman she loves, drink her problems away. "Yes I do" Emily answered back harshly, startling. "Y-Yes I do" Emily stated again softly. "Have you done this in the past?" Alison questioned. Emily nodded slowly, taking a sip of her drink and setting it back down on a coaster. Alison didn't want to push the subject even more so she gave Emily a fork and told her to eat. Alison is determined to not let Emily go down that road again.
