"Mona?" Emily questioned. Mona's head instantly shot up from staring at the porch. "Emily" Mona felt paralyzed. "You look so much better than the last time I saw you" Emily made her way over to the porch and sat next Mona. "At the hospital" Emily almost whispered. Mona nodded. "I needed to see if you were okay... If you were even alive" Emily felt her heart pull because it must have been hard on Mona to her ex in a coma. "I'm all better now, I'm still here" When seeing that Mona was crying Emily pulled her into an embracing hug. "I was so scared, I thought you were gone... I wouldn't have been able to tell you that I still love you" Emily immediately pulled away from the embrace. "Mona... You still love me?" Mona nodded her head. "Mona, I-I'm sorry, I don't feel the same way" Emily apologized. "Oh... That's okay, can we at least be friends?" Mona asked. "Of course we can"
"Em, I'm hom-" Alison stopped when she saw another girl with Emily. "Em, who's this?" Alison questioned whilst carrying groceries into the kitchen. "This is Mona" Emily replied, standing up and taking the groceries from Ali. "Hi, I'm Emily's ex" Alison froze. Emily brought her ex here even though Emily and I are practically live together? Alison thought. "Oh so are you getting back together or?" Alison is beyond jealous. "No, we're just friends" Emily reassured her. Alison felt a rush of relief flow over her but she suspicion was still growing of this Mona girl and Emily could sense that. "Ali, you have nothing to worry about" Alison smiled and walked outside to the backyard. "Mona, I'm happy that you decided to visit me but I think it would be best if you went home" Mona understood and nodded. Mona isn't your typical ex. She's different. "I'll see you around I guess" Mona hugged Emily then let herself out.
Emily walked outside to where Alison was. She was sitting on the grass with a cigarette in her hand. "Ali, you smoke?" Alison looked up and nodded. "We all have our demons, Emily. I've gotten pretty good at hiding them" Emily sat next to Alison and rested her head on the blonde's shoulder. "I'm here for you, Ali. Always"
