speech struggle

Emily's POV

"Em, are you ready to leave?" Ali asks me whilst putting some clothes of mine into a duffel bag.

"Y-Y" I stutter, I sigh in frustration and simply nod my head.

"Don't worry, you will be better in no time" Ali reassures me.

I sigh again and put on my shoes, "I-I Wo-o" I try to speak but fail yet again.

"Em, don't think like that. I know you, you'll get through this." She grabs the bag and swings it around on her shoulder.
"Let's go" she smiles.

We exit the hospital and get into Ali's car.
She helps me get into the passenger seat and she drives away from the horrible place called a hospital.

Alison parks in the drive way and exits the car. I stay put, all i can think about is the fact that my life isn't going to be the same again. Ali says I'll get better but I know I won't. My body is fucked up with cuts and bruises, my right arm has a shooting pain in it that won't go away. This pain won't go away.
"Em are you coming?" Ali asks, peering her head into the car. I turn around nod.
We enter my house and I'm greeted with my dog Marnie. She jumps up in excitement and barks. My ears start to ring and a shooting pain appears in my head. My body isn't strong enough so I lose my balance when marnie jumps up and rests her paws on chest. "F-Fu-uck" I mutter. Ali takes marnie into the kitchen and shuts the door so she's locked in. She comes back to me and tries to pull me up carefully, I nudge her away and I hit the ground again. "Em, let me help you" Ali pleads. I shake my head as tears start to build up in my eyes. I wipe them away and try to lift myself up, I can do this.
I manage to stand up successfully and I smile at my accomplishment. "See you can do this" Ali encouraged. I scoffed and muttered "b-bare-ly".
The rest of the night was spent in bed watching Disney films whilst cuddling in bed with Ali and eating a lot of food. Tomorrow will hopefully be a better day.
