Hi Steve! I miss you! Today I have two work DOUBLE my shift!!! Wish me luck...I'll need it.
Send. Today Bucky's driving me to my job and I sadly have to see you know who again.I'm sorry sweetie but when I get back, I'll take you to a night on the town! I promise.
Awwwww....Steve! Well off to my job where I practically work with the Devil. "Thanks Uncle Bucky," I say getting out of his car.
"Just call me Bucky."
"Okay...bye Bucky." I walk in as he pulls off. I sigh as I grab my apron.
"Hi Cait." I turn around to see, you guessed it, Mason. I try my best to smile but it seemed impossible. I gave him a quarter smile and turned back around to tie my apron. "Listen, I'm sorry."
"Sorry for what?" I say turning back to his with my arms crossed.
"Being an idiot."
"You don't have to apologize for something you were born with...idiocy."
He chuckles, "Good one. But can you at least talk to me."
"We are." I say walking out to one of the tables to refill the napkin holders.
"Caitlyn." He says.
"What?" I say now getting annoyed.
"Nothing."
I roll my eyes and my work day went on, but when I was suppose to stop my shift I kept going. I was gathering plates from a table. It was a single father and his daughter. She was around seven years old, the man was in his early thirties. I kept a close eye on the table. "Here." I put down an ice cream sundae infront of the little girl.
"Excuse me, we didn't order this," he says pulling the ice cream away before she could take a spoonful. I look at him and smile.
"It's on the house." I say with a big smile. He looks at me and back at his daughter. He smiles and gives her the ice cream.
"Yay! Ice cream!" She says with wide eyes. We laugh as she takes a giant spoonful.
"Thank you. That's very nice of you." He says.
"No problem. I'm here to make people happy...and less hungry." He laughs. "Enjoy." I walk away from the table to do the rest of my job. I was putting the money for the sundae on Mrs. Lynn's desk and I saw a piece of paper on the floor by Mason's apron.
Cait, I'm sorry for being an idiot. I had a crush on you but now I know that you don't feel the same. I actually have a girlfriend, but you were so cute and funny I couldn't help it. Again, I'm sorry. ~Mason
THAT TWO-TIMING JERK!!! Well not on me, on his girlfriend."Ms. Caitlyn!" I hear Mrs. Lynn scream. I shove the note in my pocket and run out to the lobby where she was. I see the man and his daughter holding his hand.
"Yes, Ms. Lynn?" I say nervously. The man hands me $10. "What's this for?" I ask hesitantly taking the money.
"It's your tip." I looked at him confused.
"Bust girls don't get tips though."
"Yes, but I talked to your boss and told her how nice you were and she is letting me give you a tip." He smiles and so do I.
"Thank you, thank you so much." I say. They say bye and leave. I see the little girl look back at me and smile. I smile back at her.
It was closing time and I hung up my apron and was heading outside. I was walking down the street ,because Bucky nor Natasha could pick me up, looking at my phone and I hear a familiar voice.
