I slowly walked to Loki's chamber. I punched in the code and walked in. "Hello Lady Caitlyn." I started crying and run up to him and hug him; not wanting to let go.
"Everything is a lie!" I say in a muffled tone.
"What?" I back up and wipe the tears from my face.
"Me wanting to be evil. I'm sorry that I did this. I get it if you want to beat me to death right now but there is a lot of stuff going on now in my life." I look up at him thinking that he'll attack me again. Instead he hugged me. The most evil god out there is hugging me!
"I'm not mad," he whispers. "Double crossing and to constantly lie is evil enough for me. But in your case-" he stops for a moment. "But in your case, you are a hero." He lets go of me and pushes me a little. "Now go before you make me ruin my evil image even more," he says making me smile.
"Thanks Loki." I turn toward the door but turn right around facing him. "You are also one filthy liar for not giving me charms."
"I try," he says as I leave.
One Week Later...
I go back and visit the hospital like I have been. And sit by his bed. I hold his hand. It was warm and soft. "Hi Steve." No answer. "Steve, it's Caitlyn." No answer. "Dad?" He smiles and his hand slightly grips mine. "Okay dad, how are you feeling?" He opens his eyes slowly. He smiles."I missed your beautiful face." I start tearing up. I reach into my giant bag and pull out the teddy bear.
"Where did you get this?" He smiles again.
"Look at the right foot." I do as I'm told and look at the right foot. It said Steven R.
"This was yours." He nods. I look at the handwriting carefully again. A tear rolls down my cheek.
"Don't cry. Why are you crying?"
"It's just emotional. I've never seen this side of you."
"Mr. Rogers," a nurse says as she walks in.
"Yes ma'am." He says sitting up.
"I have some news." She flips through his papers.
"Good or bad?" I chime in.
"Good, definitely good."
"Oh...good."
"Mr. Rogers, I think you'll be glad to hear that you are able to go home," she says cheerfully. "And Miss Caitlyn, help your father in case this happens again. Okay?" I nod and she smiles. "Take your time and I'll sign you guys out." She cheerfully walks out to the front desk.
At the apartment...
"There we go," I say helping Steve sit on the couch."Thank you so much, Caitlyn," he says with a smile.
"No problem...dad." I have to get used to that. Saying the word dad.
"Was it different without me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Was the team different?"
"Uhhh...no not really."
"I love you, Cait."
"I love you too, dad"
