Chapter 19: Heather you’re a…Angel!

I closed my eyes so tight that my muscles in my eye lids began to wear out. He traveled faster than the speed of light, through the air. His wings were shuffling one past another so gracefully in the wind. I could barely see where we were headed.

By the way my dad moved, you could easily tell that he discovered all his power. His wings were huge flapping rapidly. The faster we went I could feel the luggage in my hand slowly making its way from my palm, close to my fingertips. It was falling out of my hand.

“Hold on Heather, we are almost there!” My dad yelled despite the rapid paste we were travelling in.

The luggage in my hand flew out of my hand, and rapidly came out of my arms reach. I was devastated!

Something came over me, and I tried to stretch my arms out but I would never be able to reach it, since it was falling. I was determined to get it but I couldn’t. But before I could give up both my palms lit up, turning bright baby blue; and my luggage suddenly stopped falling.

It rapidly made its way back up to my hand. It was as if my hand was a magnet. As soon as it joined my and my father’s speed into mid air, I grabbed on to the luggage, and my hands quickly locked together; preventing my luggage from ever escaping my reach.

Gradually we slowed down and sat on a cloud peering over my house. My dad kissed my forehead, and gave me fifty bucks. Score!

As I read my dad’s thoughts he whispered in his voice “ I love you Heather.”

I responded by saying the same, “…I love you too dad.”

As we both said our goodbyes he gave me his home number and flew off into thine air, leaving me on this delicate cloud. Unannounced to me, there was going to be a storm. The clouds became denser and denser. Don’t get me wrong I can fly but… I’m so high up.

As the thunder came rolling in…I got my white ass up and flew down. But apparently my mom’s family was visiting and they all were sitting in the backyard, getting ready to go inside for shelter.

Sadly as I flew lower down my little sister Nina had been playing with Nigel’s toy helicopter and it flew right in my direction. It had hit my left wing sending me crashing down. Crap!

My body fell on the backyard floor with a loud thud, my wings couldn’t stop twitching.  Wretchedly I could finally say that I have never experienced a harder fall in my life. I felt dizzy, and my vision became a blur.

I could feel my body being lifted and dragged inside. Or…At least that’s what I thought.

“Heather, you can’t let mom see you like this. Your wings are completely exposed, hide them now.” Barked a voice.

“This is so cool, I can’t believe that my big sister is an Angel, can I be one!”

Ugh…

My body was finally lifted, seeing that I was trying to keep my balance I heard a loud screeching cry.

“Heather You’re an… Angel”
