Chapter 23: I know how you feel

I stepped back, and the person in front of me stepped closer. He Scratched his head then stares me down while flashing a smile.

“I knew you’d be here Heather.” He rolled his eyes while letting out a chuckle.

“You’re an asshole for scaring me Nigel “

“Sorry! You’re sixteen and I think it’s ‘bout time you wake YOUR self up!” he said while trying not to laugh.

“Very funny, ass hole and…How’d you know I’d be here anyway?” I scratched my while looking baffled.

“I dreamt about it last night, and does your head hurt” he grinned.

Although, Nigel, Nina, and I are Ameration angels. I find it weird that Nigel dreamt my past and previous events, shit! He also has the power to read my mind still.

“Heather, you should put your thoughts on lock. I’ll always be able to read them.” He said sarcastically

“soon you won’t be able to. I’ve been practicing it.” I cocked an eyebrow as I grinned.

“I know dumbass, dad told me he had trouble reading yours. You blocked him out…He also said that you’re able to harness your powers. I did that when I was 14!” he stood their sounding smug.

“So what! At least I’m learning” I claimed.

As me and my brother  talked, we could see from the distance someone entering  the school.  Struggling, to push it open. It was as if the guy fell down from cloud freaking 9. Or just…Heaven. He was hot. Although I couldn’t see too far from the distance, he looked angry. While he put up a fight with his backpack getting through the front door. He was covered in grass, brushing off the dirt smudge all over his ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ t-shirt. I couldn’t stop but stare.

His face lighted up as he caught me staring him down. I wasn’t only staring at his face…Other parts too. This felt weird…It was like eye sex. We stared at one another as he walked closer to me. I still couldn’t believe that he was an angel.

I couldn’t spot his wings, or an imperfection in his presence. I wonder if he knew what I was thinking right now. I’m pretty sure I’m the only on at school who knows his ‘secret, ‘now that’s sexy.

I kept smiling at Eric tilting my head to the side, like an idiot! I couldn’t help it, so I tried opening my thoughts letting him read it.

I sent: “You look great, nice shirt it hugs your abs...urgh I mean chest or preferably body perfectly. Sorry!”

“He must think I’m dumb.” I said out loud.

My brother cocked an eye brow looking displeased. “What the hell are you doing” he says softly. I ignored my brother and still continued to stare despite my embarrassment.

Eric finally walked closer up to us, smiling wider than ever. But as he walked closer my head started to hurt even more. I didn’t know why, it was as if explosions were going off inside of me. I felt dizzy, but just before I could fall Nigel was standing there with his arms clasping around me.

I guess he wasn’t only the smug ass hole, he did care!

Eric approached us he asked if I was okay, while sounding concerned. I answered him by saying that I was fine.

He accepted my answer than walked away, right past us. Oh yeah! I have a boyfriend…Almost forgot.

“Whatever you say, weakling” he laughed sarcastically. “Anyways, how’s your head, and what ‘sup with this Eric guy.

“It fine, and it’s Eric Dill FYI. He’s new to the school…So be nice” I argued.

“You don’t have to be defensive I was just asking. I know he told you his secret.” He said softly while letting go of my arms.

“ Wait what else do you kn—” I started.

“EVERYTHING! I think you’ve been staring at Eric to much, and FYI little sis. Be careful you already have a boyfriend.  Anyways…I’m shocked that Eric would trust a minor like you with a huge secret like that. It would cost him his life if anyone found out!” he exclaimed.

“What’d you mean, and hey!” I began to gnash my teeth, Nigel was making me angry.

“Calm down sis, there no need t get angry. I just find it weird that he would tell you out of all people. He wants something…I can feel it. Now I know how you felt yesterday. Dark, scared, and filled with pain. Just like your headache was! Keep away from Eric sis.” he yelled while shaking me back and forth.

“ Nigel give it a rest he’s not bad. I think he’s an angel just like us don’t  you thi—”

The bell cut me off from finishing my last sentence. Students emptying out of their classrooms, overflowing the halls. Nigel and I stood opposite of one another; me standing their annoyed, and his face shocked in awe. Although he was my brother, I always accepted his advice. But it was different this time.

We both just stormed out of each other’s sight, angry.
