Rant- Professors

This will be a short rant, since this happened a while ago, but it still bothers me.

Earlier this month... or last month, I went into English class with an outline, not a rough draft like she asked for. I didn't really care about the assignment, at least not the rough draft because that's not usually part of my writing process. Anyway, I didn't think she'd call me out on it, but she did.

The professor came up to my group's table to check on us and took one look at my paper and said, "This is an outline." I explained to her that the rough draft really isn't part of my writing process. She says something a long the times of, "Well, I'll give you points for this now, but if you write a rough draft then you'll be further in your paper and have more done before the due date."

In a reasonable adult tone, that sentence would've been fine, but she was talking to me like I was some kind of child. Like I was some middle schooler or high schooler. No offense to those of you that are, but I'm a d*mn college student! I pay for my classes (No offense to those of you that attend private school)! I go to class of my own free will! I'm am a mother freaking adult and I should be treated like one.

Btw, I'm not going to ENG class tomorrow. Not because of this, but because I just don't want to. I have to finish fourteen chapters by Monday and that's just not happening.

Okay, I'm done.

See ya guys,

J
