This is just a place to put my rants. That's all.
UPDATED 10/13/15: I'm adding a poem here because I don't want to open up another book. I don't know if I'll write more "poetry," so the title may change somewhere down the line.

Last night, I was trying to figure out why Google had this:

On it's page.
Usually, it's some happy color, so seeing that it was black, I knew something was wrong. It kept bothering me and bothering me, so I tried to click on it, make it give me a reason to be concerned, but alas, it didn't work. Then, checking my email this morning, I see people saying how upset they were at the turn of events in Orlando, Florida.
"Orlando," I type and Google finishes with, "shooting."
I'm hoping to see that it's old news, but then I see it: "Two hours ago."
Reluctantly, I click on the link and it pulls up the shooting at club Pulse.
I read that 49 people are dead and 50 are injured because some mad man decided to shoot up a gay club. I usually stop at that, not because I'm uninterested, but because I know I'll start crying. But I keep reading and the news just gets worse, as to be expected. Then, I get to the part where it says the police will be posting a list of the people who died that day... The youngest person to be shot and killed that night was twenty. He was 20 years old!
I'm 20 years old! I'm just starting my life. I haven't finished school yet.I haven't found the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. I don't have any kids or a career. So, I can only imagine that he, Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, was much the same.
So there I sat, in my room, for a good twelve minutes crying about a young man that I didn't even know. What was sadder was knowing that most of the world will probably forget about him and everyone else that died in the shooting. Sure, people will say they remember the forty-nine people that died, but will they remember the names?
My heart goes out to those that have lost a loved one in that shooting and I'm glad that many are safe.
