I nervously shoved 3 fries into my mouth at once and waited for Calum to answer Michael. He was really going over the top with what Calum had said, but I decided not to say anything, because I didn't like arguments.
"Woah mate," He stuttered, before sliding back onto the couch next to Ash, "I didn't mean to annoy you I'm sor-"

"Yeah well stop sticking your nose into other people's business, Calum." Michael growled, eating another french fry.

"Woah, Michael what did he do to make you so annoyed?" Ashton asked, as Calum looked nervously out of the window on the bus. I was starting to become tense, since Ashton had now gotten involved. Michael seemed overly annoyed over a stupid comment Calum had made playing that game they'd made up, and it was worrying me that 'we' might come up.

After 15 minutes Michael still hadn't answered Ashton, and Luke was sitting in the corner, trying to throw our fries paper through the door of the bus, into where the bunks were. The whole bus was silent, until Ashton stood up and rubbed his hands together. He did that when he had an idea.

"Since we're stopping here for an hour to kill time, there's a small mall over there. Do you guys want to go look around?"

At the thought of escaping the tension between everyone, I nodded instinctively. Calum followed Luke off the bus, and Michael, Ashton and I followed.

"Are you guys not bringing security or anything?" I asked Michael, recalling the situation at the hotel when we were mobbed by a crowd of around a thousand screaming fans.

"Nah, we should be okay. There aren't many people here anyway." Michael mumbled. I could hear guilt in his voice. I looked around the car park we were crossing, going past the fast food place where we'd gotten our fries, and saw there was no one else around. Michael was right; maybe we'd finally get some time together without being interrupted.

"Do you want a coffee, or a hot chocolate?" Michael asked me. We were sitting outside of a small coffee shop inside the small shopping mall we were looking around for an hour. Calum, Ashton and Luke had gone elsewhere, whilst Michael and I had stopped for coffee.
"I know how to order a hot chocolate in French, so I suppose I'd better have a hot chocolate." I told him, and grabbed a pen out of my pocket, scribbling down the French for 'I would like two hot chocolates please' on a napkin. Michael wandered in the coffee shop, giving me a chance to glance around the place we were in. From what I could understand from the various French signs above the shops, there was another fast food restaurant, two clothing stores, a small game shop, a bakery and a shop that only sold strongly scented soaps. I couldn't see the other boys from here.
After 5 minutes, Michael wandered back with our drinks, and sat opposite me, whilst taking a sip from his cup. No one spoke for a few minutes, but the silence between us wasn't awkward. I looked intently at him as he sipped his drink, which he noticed. He put down his cup and tried to stare at me so I'd stop looking at him, but it failed. In failing, he smiled and rubbed his nose with his hand, before looking back at me again.
"Why are you looking at me?" He smirked, whilst taking a sip from his cup and looking at me over the rim.
I smiled, before talking to him.
"You're cute." I said, which made him smile before he frowned at me playfully.
"Hey I'm not cute," He began, "You're cute. I'm punk rock."
"Michael you're not pu-" I trailed off before a camera flash interupted our debate. Looking to my left, I saw a small statured guy wearing sunglasses taking pictures of us with his phone. We weren't being mobbed by the bands fans, but somehow a single paparazzi guy had managed to find Michael.
"Dude," Michael stood up, but stayed at our table, "Leave us alone for once instead of invading our privacy." And with that, the guy in the sunglasses walked away.

We were back on the bus again, and were around 6 hours from the airport still, despite it now being 9.45pm, and despite us being in France already. We had resorted back to playing spin the bottle truth or dare, which Michael was unhappy about, but I'd told him to go along with it anyway. We were all now sipping from bottles of beer, and it was quite obvious that Calum had drank the most.
It was now Ashton's turn, who had chosen truth, and Calum had chosen the question, which, again, was something to do with crushes.
"Okay crush, not celebrity-" Calum looked at Michael and smiled, "-Just Crush." He looked back at Ashton. Ashton looked worried, and he looked at me with a colourless face, before looking back at Calum, who was drunkedly smirking.
"Uhm, I don't have one." He replied nervously. It was unlike Ash at all, to be nervous. He was usually so calm, but this seemed different.
"Really? Are you sure you don-"
"Cal, shut up." Luke said abruptly. The room was silent, and Ash was looking around for an escape from the question, which, surprisingly, he was so reluctant to answer.
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, and Ashton looked at me worriedly, before stuttering to tell me something.
"Y/N, I'm sorry I didn't tell you." He said, before retreating to his bunk. I blinked, confused at to what Ashton was talking about, and took a sip from my beer.
"Okay what the hell is going on?" Michael asked. If anything was going on, he seemed the only one, apart from me, that didn't know about it.
Calum looked around the room, biting his lip nervously before nodding at Luke to answer, and sipping his beer.
"Right," Luke began, "So, uhm Y/N, Ashton has been, sort of, dating... Summer."
"Summer as in-?" I pushed further, recalling that the name Summer, was actually that of one of my close friends back in Sydney.
"Yeah. Ashton's girlfriend, is your friend. Summer."
