Y/N's POV
My heart dropped as I watched Michael go into the music store first, with a girl around his height trailing behind him. They were laughing along with eachother, and Michael grabbed her hand and dragged he into the store; as he had when he took me.
I dropped the coffee just as the door to the music store shut, and ran with hot, angry tears streaming down my face; the whole situation felt like Jack all over again, except Jack had never said 'I love you', and he didn't make me feel like Michael did. Michael made me feel special, and I didn't have to change for him; I thought he was nothing like Jack, he was so caring, and funny. But the one thing they both had in common, was that they had both cheated. They had both lied.---------------------------------------------------------
I got back to my house around an hour later, with dry tears clinging to my aching face. After 20 minutes of convincing myself to go inside, I did, and avoided Mum when she asked me why I wasn't with Ashton and Summer.
I didn't know what to feel; anger, sadness and betrayal consumed me as I lay with my head buried in my pillow. I thought he liked - no loved - me; after months of becoming friends, and realising our feelings for eachother, I thought I'd finally found a boyfriend who cared about me. I sobbed, after only five minutes of stopping myself since I'd gotten out of my car, and ignored the voices from downstairs.
I could tell Ashton was home, and since there was another female voice apart from Mum (and I assumed it wasn't Karen) I realised Summer was downstairs too. Why wasn't Michael with his Mum? She was so close to where he was, but I couldn't believe she had known.
I heard the stairs creaking as someone came upstairs; vaguely familiar footsteps eventually stopped outside of my room, and a small tap on my door managed to grab my attention enough for me to sit up.
"Y/N." A voice said; male, but it wasn't Ashton.
"Go away." I said, falling onto my back as I stared at the ceiling with now dry tears on my face, again.
"Y/N," They said again, "It's Luke. My friend saw you crying in your car, so I followed you home." I let out a sigh, before sitting up again.
"Y/N, if you won't talk to Anne or Ashton, just talk to me please? I know something's wrong."
"The door's unlocked." I mumbled, and Luke wandered into my room with his hands in his pockets, before sitting at the end of my bed that was farthest away from me.
"Ash said the last time you were this upset was when J-" A tear fell down my face, and luke noticed, "Nevermind." He said simply, and pulled his phone from his pocket, before typing someone's number into his phone.
"Who are you-"
"Michael." He said, and I jumped forward, grabbing his phone, hanging up before the call could connect. I started crying again before he got his phone back.
"Hey," Luke mumbled, shuffling towards me, and nudging my legs playfully; it was obvious he was trying uselessly to cheer me up, so I didn't react. Instead I wiped my still falling tears with the sleeve of my jumper. "You know, you don't have to tell me what's wrong. I know we're not really close friends, but if you want to talk, just ask. I sort of have experience in 'girl is upset, and won't talk' stuff." He laughed lightly, and shuffled away from me a few inches.
I smiled, still upset, but wanting to be polite.
"What do you mean, by 'experience'?" I mumbled, still crying.
"Hm? Oh... I'll tell you later. Are you sure you don't wan-"
My phone started ringing, and I cried harder when I saw the caller ID; it was Michael.
"Did he upset you?" Luke asked, locking my phone to stop the ringing. He wasn't the type of person to ask why I was ignoring my 'boyfriend's' phonecall, and I was happy to be sort-of-friends with him for that; he wasn't at all intrusive. I still didn't answer though, and instead turned away and leaned my head against my wall whilst hugging my knees.
"Whatever it is I'm sure he didn't mean it. Michael's a good guy Y/N; I've known him since I was 11. Seriously, he would never intend to upset you." I sobbed harder, knowing that Luke was completely oblivious to what had happened. He thought Michael was a good guy, just like I did, but we were both wrong.
"Do you want me to go?" Luke asked, standing up and collecting his phone from beside him. When I didn't answer, he began to make his way towards the door.
"He w-was with someone else." I stuttered, hugging my knees tighter; I felt the tiniest fraction of less-alone that way.
"What?" Luke said, stopping suddenly in his tracks; my phone started ringing again, and I didn't have to check who it was.
"He cheated on me."
