(A/N, I'm taking the POV out of the chapter name, because all chapters are in Y/N's POV (and have been for the last like 17 chapters 😂) but i'll still but it at the beginning in case I decide to change it)

Y/N's POV

The whole room was silent for a few seconds, whilst we all looked in my Mum's direction, until Michael spoke up.
"Ohhh." Realisation hit him, "So that's why you punched me when I mentioned Summer..." He rubbed the back of his neck, and Ash glared at him, as the atmosphere in the room got even more awkward.
"Hang on." Mum said, and we looked back at her as she moved towards us, "What's this about Ash punching Michael? And did I hear correctly? Is Summe-"
"Yeah, she is." Ashton said, before wandering into the kitchen area to grab the coffee Mum had put on the counter. We all stared at him, at his brief answer hanging in the air, as he sipped his drink. At first, I couldn't get my head around the fact that my brother had gotten my best friend pregnant, even before I'd known about them dating. Ashton was the 'responsible, older' one, but then, I looked into his eyes, and he looked genuinely lost.
"And you didn't tell me?" Mum had genuine concern in her voice; usually, in TV shows typical of this situation, everyone would flip out at an announcement like this, but she seemed relatively calm despite the atmosphere. No one spoke for another few minutes, and Ash paced around until he came to a stop in front of where we were all standing.
"I only just found out myself, on the plane." He sighed, making his way around to the couch where we all followed. Mum sat in an armchair in the corner, whilst Ash, Michael and I sat on the sofa. Michael put his head on my shoulder, as we listened to more of what my brother was saying.
"I uhm... she texted me, to say she wanted to break up," Ash looked at Michael and I, and smiled weakly before frowning, "I called her when I went into the bathroom on the plane, and she told me everything." He looked almost as if he was going to cry, but was in such a state of disarray that he just stared at the wall expressionless.
"Do you know how far along she is?" I asked, but Ashton simply shook his head, and placed it heavily in his hands. Mum looked at me and Michael, and gestured to my phone on the coffee table whilst Ash wasn't looking. I got the hint; she wanted me to call Summer.

---------------------------------------------------------

After trying numerous times throughout the next few hours, I eventually gave up in trying to contact Summer. Mum was standing in front of me, whilst Michael and Ash stared blankly at the TV. I wanted to help my brother; I didn't want him to feel like his and Summer's break up was his fault, which was what he thought. I decided I would try calling Sunmer again later.
I yawned, even though I wasn't tired - it was only 3pm - and decided I should probably go to the grocery store so we could make something home-made for dinner. We'd eaten the pizza Mum had bought yesterday for lunch, and from being away for so long I needed a home cooked meal, as did the others. I grabbed 20 dollars from the kitchen counter, before shrugging on my coat so I could grab something to eat.
Mum awakened from her daydream, and looked confusedly at me. "Are you going out?" She said, and I smiled before telling her where I was going. She agreed we needed a home-cooked meal, before bringing up what had been the main topic of conversation the whole day. "He's going to be a great Dad." She said, as she looked at the back of Ashton's head. She was right; Ashton had always been so good with our younger cousins, and he was most definitely going to be a good Dad. I nodded, smiling before walking towards the door, and reaching for the handle.
At the exact moment that my hand came in contact with the door handle, Michael jumped up from his seat on the sofa, and shrugged on his own denim jacket.
"I wanna come with you." He simply said, and I giggled before turning around to face Mum as we walked out of the door. She was laughing quietly to herself, whilst preparing the oven for whatever we were going to put in it. I closed the door behind me, and turned to Michael who was already at my car.
"Won't you get mobbed or something?" I laughed to myself, as I climbed in the driver's seat, and Michael got into his own.
He laughed quietly, before rubbing his face and smiling widly. "I don't know; I might, might not." He smirked at me, before looking out of tbe front window, "And anyway, I wanna go somewhere. It's your birthday next week, right?"

( A/N this was sort of a filler chapter, sorry :) )
