Y/N's POV

After around 5 hours of watching TV quietly from my bed as Michael slept, I began to get more hungry; It was around 3am now, and I was also exhausted, so I decided to go downstairs and quickly grab some food before I slept.
I switched off my TV, attempting to manouvre from Michael's grasp as I still layed with my back against his chest; as I tried to sit up, he mumbled something slightly inaudible. I lay back down again, turning around so I was facing his wide-open eyes, my head in his chest.
"I thought you were sleeping." I laughed, rubbing slow circles on his bare collarbone as he hummed sleepily.
"Can't." Michael mumbled, his facial expression becoming one of sadness and exhaustion, as he pulled me closer to his chest.
"You've been awake for 5 hours? You were so sleepy before..."
"It's like that," Michael said, his voice low and raspy; he lazily placed his hand over my hip, copying my actions by drawing small circles on my skin, "I feel sleepy at first, and then I try to sleep and... I can't."
"Oh." I said, realising I mustn't fully understand how he felt: exhausted but unable to sleep. I didn't understand how anyone could run on such little sleep like Michael did, but I supposed he had learned how to from being frequently awake, although exhausted at the same time.
"Y/N, I know you're tired." Michael mumbled, running his spare hand through the top of my hair as I yawned against his warm chest; he was right, but I wanted to make sure he at least got some sleep tonight.
"I want to stay awake with you." I yawned. I moved the hand I was tracing circles into his collarbone with, and laced it with the one he had in my hair, placing our hands on the small space in between our faces.
      "Y/N, sleep."
Michael began humming some sort of melody as I closed my eyes slowly, his hand not stopping as he still drew small patterns on my hip.
"Are you asleep yet?" He asked me, but I didn't respond; Michael's quiet humming had relaxed me entirely, and now, I slept lightly beside him, not moving from his grip as I drifted into dreaming.

---------------------------------------------------------

"Y/N." Someone whispered, and I turned over, burying my face in the pillow beneath my head; it smelled like sweets and Michael's cologne.
"Y/N, babe wake up." They said again, their voice raspy and rich with morning; I knew who it was now, his faint scent matching the pillow.
"Uhhh piss off Michael, it's too early." I groaned, yawning and opening one eye slightly, closing it again when light streamed through my blinds.
"Y/N its 12.30." Michael said, and I sat up immediately, rubbing my aching eyes, and running my hands through my thick, knotted hair.
I looked over at Michael, who now lay on his back at the end of the bed, laughing and rubbing his face with his hands.
"What are you laughing at?" I asked, grabbing a hair tie from my cabinet and tying my hair in a loose ponytail.
"I thought you were a morning person, but obviously not." He laughed again, sitting up, and running his hands though his hair; it wasn't red anymore however, it was dark brown, and it looked hot.
"You dyed your hair?" I asked, standing up and throwing on my baggy All Time Low tee that I hadn't put on last night.
"Uhm, yeah. I sort of woke up at like 7am, and couldn't get back to sleep, so I ate, went to the store, bought hair dye, and dyed my hair." He smiled, and after saying this, I realised that unlike myself, he was fully clothed: wearing black jeans, and a loose black sweater.
"Spontanious...Wait," I said, sitting back on my bed and counting from 3 to 7 on my fingers, "Michael you only slept four hour-"
"3 actually, but, Y/N, I'm fine." He said, obviously not wanting me to be concerned about him not sleeping for long.
"But you're gonna be exhausted." I said, sitting on his knees, with a leg either side of him, and my arms wrapped around his torso.
"I can sleep on the plane today." Michael mumbled, burying his head in my shoulder; I unwrapped my arms from around him, placing my hands on his chest, which meant our foreheads were now touching as they had last night.
"I thought Melbourne was tomorrow." I said, closing my eyes, and listening to Michael's slow, relaxed breathing.
"Uhm... no that's today." He said, pulling away from me; I looked at him, confused, and I climbed off of him, grabbing the box from beside my bed, and pulling out my plane ticket.
"Shit," I said, noticing todays date on the tocket, and looking around my room for my suitacase, "I haven't even packed yet, and I need to eat, and fi-"
"Y/N, calm down, I did that already." Michael said, putting the ticket in on top of my dresser, and grabbing both of my hands.
"Thank you." I said, kissing Michael softly, letting my lips linger on his for longer that I intended them to.
Michael hummed, moving his hand onto my side, and rubbing his thumb accross my skin.
"You should get dressed, then we can go get food and coffee before we leave." I nodded, shoving Michael out of my room as he laughed, and begining to get ready for our trip to Melbourne.

(A/N ahh what a boring chapter *sighs*. This is the first of the last (around) 5 chapters; but don't worry, they all won't be as rubbish as this, lmao.  There is more drama in the next few, and then I might have an epilogue that's set like a few months later. Hope you liked this story, and there'll be a werewolf! Calum fan fic starting when it's done!!)
