I opened the door, turning around to close it, completely disregarding the scene in front of me until I turned around again. Although the light was dim, and I could barely see infront of me, I managed to see Summer and Ashton; when my Mum said they were 'sorting things out' I thought that meant talking over things. But obviously, what Mum had thought was completely wrong, and instead, I found my brother, and my best friend, making out on the couch.
I coughed, and both Summer and Ash turned around instantly. The expression on Ashton's face, was mixed between confusion, happiness, and embarrasment. His cheeks were crimson, as were Summers, and his eyes were wide as he stared at me.
"Y/N." He said awkwardly, before looking at his feet and linking his hands together on his knees. I put my car keys on a nearby table, shrugging off my jacket and placing it over the chair.
"Uhm...Hi?" I said, almost giggling but remembering that my best friend, who I hadn't seen since 2 weeks before we arrived in the UK, was also in the room. I turned around, as a light tap on my shoulder startled me more than it should have.
"That was totally, not how I intended to say 'hi' when I saw you again!" Summer said, cheeks still red, but a smile spreading accross her face. She was wearing a large oversized t-shirt, that covered her stomach, and a pair of Ashtons sweatpants. She hugged me tightly, a thing she always did in high school when we returned after a break, before laughing and pulling apart from me.
"Hi!" I said, laughing, and I heard Ash get up from the sofa, and walk upstairs - probably to grab his phone or something. I walked to where he was sitting, and sat down myself, with Summer beside me.
"I have loooooads of questions about the UK, and we totally need to catch up. That's why I brought you over for dinner. But it's barely even 10 yet! Have you eaten?"
"Uhm... no, I haven't! And the UK was great! You would have loved it... all the clothing stores, shoe shops..." I trailed off, and Summer beamed at the thought of shopping in London; we'd always imagined going when we were 13, and spending all of our money on clothes and shoes.
"Oh. My. God." She began, "You went clothes shopping with your brother?! And his band?!" I laughed.
"No actually," I smiled, "We didn't really have time. We saw alot of the sights though, that was interesting. Although Ashton in a clothes shop would have been hilarious!" We both giggled at the thought of my brother trailing around a clothes shop, before Summer got up from the couch, as Ash walked down the stairs.
"Hi." He said, smiling happily; I was glad. After seeing him so distraught over Summer, I was happy he was okay again.
Ash held a small square of paper in his hand, which, from what I could see, was blank on the side that faced me. He moved his hand towards me, almost handing me the paper, until a clash from the kitchen was heard. Ash looked at me confusedly, before stuffing the paper back in his pocket and making his way to the kitchen. I followed him slowly, and laughed when I saw the mess in the kitchen.
"Shit." He said, and began looking for a brush to clean up the coffee on the floor. Summer looked at the mess from her position beside the counter, and joined Ash in his hunt, before being told to stop. "I'll do it." My brother said to her, and she did as he said, smiling as he did.
"I can go and get some coffee," I began; both Ash and Summer looked at me as soon as I said 'coffee',"There's a coffee shop 10 minutes away, near the mus-"
"Uhm, yeah coffee sounds nice." Ash said, still sweeping the coffee on the floor, as Summer cleared away the cups she'd set on the counter.
"I just tried to make coffee and look how that turned out!" Summer shouted, but laughed at the same time, as did I.
"Okay then," I said, "I'll go get coffee." and I made my way out to my car.
---------------------------------------------------------

When I got to the coffee shop, near the music store, I ordered 3 drinks; a decaf latte for Summer, and two mocha frapuccinos for Ashton and I.
"Hi." A girl around my age, maybe a few years younger, said from behind the counter. She turned out to be the second barista, who at that time, wasn't preoccupied with making coffee.
"Hi?" I said; of course the girl was trying to be polite, but I didn't know her from anywhere.
"You're Y/N, right? Ashton's sister?" She enquired, as I retrieved the drinks from the other barista; 'She must be a 5SOS fan', I thought.
"Yeah, I am...Stephanie?" I said, reading her name tag, careful not to mis-pronounce her name.
"I just thought I'd say: That article with you and Michael, the one with the picture..." I sighed, ready for the onslaught of insults that were about to ensue, "You guys are cute." I smiled, as did Stephanie, and she waved as I walked out of the shop, juggling 2 paper cups of coffee.
I sat on a nearby bench, putting a straw in the lid of my coffee, so I could drink it easily. As I tried to take a sip, I heard the distant 'ding' of the bell in an old shop, and looked over the road. Karen had just gone into the convenience store, without Michael.
I picked up all of the drinks, glancing at my phone briefly for any missed calls - there was none - before wandering along the street, in the opposite direction of my car. Michael had promised to spend time with his Mum, but here I was, watching her walk into a convenience store without him in sight. I walked to where I thought he'd be; the music store, or the store specifically for video games next door.
The drinks still in my hand, I rounded the corner, onto the street where Michael had taken me to the music store.
As I had expected, he was there, about to go into the music store. But there was one thing; he wasn't alone.

(A/N, sort of cliffhanger!! This is the start of the bigger 'drama' filled section in this story. Comment who you think Michael was with! And idk if I've already said this, but thanks for 580 reads :))
