*Emily's Diary*

I am in the cab heading for the airport. I will be there in about ten minutes so I don't have a lot of time to write. When I look out the window I realise how beautiful Wellington is and how much I will miss it.

I have been through security and now I am just waiting to board. Saying bye to my family was so hard. Even though my little brother Luke is a complete idiot I still cried when I hugged him. I'm gonna miss them really bad. I have my laptop so I can skype with them and that will be hard because of time difference, but we will work it out.

I met this really cool guy who is sitting beside me. He's asleep so I thought I'd write now. His name is Matthew. He's going to LA for a holiday aswell. I must say that he is pretty cute, but he probably isn't interested in me that way. Why does no one like me like that?? Anyways I better try catch some Zzzzs.

Still have eight hours to go. I have been talking to Matthew some more so here's a little fact file: 1. He is twenty-three (I wonder if that counts as too old for me?).   2. He has two younger siblings, boy and girl.  3. He is single!!! Yay for me! 4. He loves the Big Bang Theory (coincedentally so do I!). 5. He loves music. 6. His last name is Johnson. That's all I've got so far and it should be all I need.

Been reading magazines and my book for the past couple of hours. I got really freaked out when we hit some turbulance and Matthew held my hand till we got through it!!!! He is so sweet. He also gave me some chocolates that he brought from home. I love Roses Chocolates.

I'm really glad there are screens on the back of the chairs since I have watched like three movies with Matthew. There is only one and a half hours to go which kinda sucks because I have really enjoyed hanging out with Matthew. I never thought that when I was on my way to America I would meet somone like him. He really is extraordinary.

Ten minutes until we land. I can see LA from the window. There are so many high rise buildings it's crazy! We have been given those little lollies you suck on so your ears don't pop, they are so yum! I'm really unorganised, I don't know where I am sleeping tonight and I don't know where a close hotel is. There will hopefully be a pamphlet or something of nearby hotels.

We have landed!! I'm waiting by the luggage carousel and my bag is taking forever to come out. Matthew and I exchanged numbers and e-mails so we can keep in contact with eachother. Luckily enough it's only three-thirty so I have heaps of time to find and book into a hotel. I can see the horizon widening for me!
