Winter stared into space, noting that it was almost sunhigh, and Kinkajou and Qibli were not awake yet. He glanced over at Moon, who was snuggled up under his wing and sleeping. Does she like me? She probably doesn't. She's only doing this because she feels sorry for me.
"Prince Winter?" A voice sounded behind him.
He whirled around, just to find the royal messenger. He pulled his away from Moon, and faced the IceWing, who was staring at a sleeping Moon.
"I have a message from Queen Glacier," he said, shifting his weight from one side to the other.
"What?" Winter said irritably.
"She requests your presence at the palace," he replied nervously. "It's about Jade Mountain Academy."
Winter glanced over to Moon and sighed. "I'll be there."
The IceWing nodded and flew off, toward the Ice Kingdom.
"Moon," he said gently, shaking her. "Wake up."
Moon shot up, surprised. "Winter," she said, still groggy from sleep. "Why did you wake me?"
"I need to go to the Ice Kingdom," Winter replied. "It's urgent."
Moon just nodded, not looking into his eyes.
"Hey," Winter said, lifting her snout so that she had to make eye contact him, surprising him with such emotion in them. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." She whispered and shook her head.
"Okay," Winter said, unsure. "I have to go, so tell the others. Don't follow me this time. I'm not coming back. Take care of Bandit, your the only dragon that I trust with him."
She nodded and went into the hut.
Winter took off, only to hear Qibli shout, "You have a week to change your mind!"
I'm not going to change my mind anytime soon. I hope they don't follow me like last time.
Winter went through the tunnel, the one that led to the SandWing Kingdom. The sun beat down on him, making him sweat all over. He panted, beating his wings furiously.
So hot here. Winter ran through a bunch of thoughts, settling on one. The prophecy. What are we going to do with it. All we know is that it includes me and Moon.

Moon's POV. Surprise! Bonus part!
Moon shot up awake. "Winter," she said sleepily. "Why did you wake me?"
"I need to go to the Ice Kingdom," he replied. "It's urgent."
Moon just nodded, not looking at him.
"Hey," Winter lifting her snout so that she had to make eye contact with him. No. He can't understand how much pain I'm feeling. She was drowning in his blue eyes. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." She whispered and shook her head. The pain. It's getting worse.
"Okay," Winter said, unsure. "I have to go, so tell the others. Don't follow me this time. I'm not coming back. Take care of Bandit, your the only dragon that I trust with him."
Moon nodded and went into the hut. Warm air hit her as she opened the door.
As soon as Qibli heard the news, he rushed out the door and shouted as Winter flew off, " You have a week to change your mind!"
Moon watched as Winter flew toward the tunnel, deeper into the rainforest.
I'm so gullible, to think that he liked me, or even loved me. He never noticed me. Then why did he talk and be with you this morning? Moon shook her head in confusion as her thoughts battled.
Winter, you have a way with words you know. Moon sighed and took off toward the center of the now loud rainforest.
What can't I get over the pain? All I can feel is pain. He only thinks of me as a friend, nothing more.
"Hey," a familiar voice called. "What are you doing here Moon?"
She whirled around to face her friends, Qibli and Kinkajou, agony written all over her face. She couldn't handle it, if all dragons, the one she liked, left her.
"Are you okay?" Kinkajou asked her.
Moon didn't say anything. I am not in a mood to talk Kinkajou.
Kinkajou immediately got the message and whispered to Qibli.
Qibli cleared his throat, catching Moons attention. "I think we need to discuss the prophecy."
"We can't without Winter," Moon muttered under her breath.
Why do I like him? What did he ever do to me except be mean and cold? That was just a mask. Moon gasped, earning curious glances from the other two. Moon took off, flying toward where Glory was.
I need a distraction. She landed, right beside Glory, startling her.
"Moon!" She exclaimed. "Don't do that!"
Moon forced a smile and looked at her talons. "Do you have anything I can do?"
She felt Glory's gaze on her scales. "Sorry, I don't have anything." She apologized. "But do you want to talk? You look like you need it."
Moon hesitated, but followed Glory anyway.
What have I got myself into? Hopefully this will distract me from the pain.
