"5,000 yen Shikamaru becomes a chunin." I glanced at Naruto, a mischievous glint in my blue eyes. Naruto returned the stare and slapped my outstretched hand.

The deal had been made. Now, Sasuke, where are you?

I heard the excitement and impatience of the crowd as they waited anxiously for Sasuke. Seriously, what's the big deal? Sasuke's good, but he's not that great.

They're getting on my nerves. "U-chi-ha." I seethed. Naruto, Temari, Kankuro, and Shino were looking at me wearily.

I took a deep breath. Control your anger Miyu, control your anger. Don't snap. Don't you snap.

I shook with rage. Don't . . . snap . . .

"Alright, the time limit has expired. So I'm officially calling this match-"

Leaves swirled next to the proctor and Naruto. I sigh of relief and annoyance escaped my lips. Although I am glad to see them. There, standing back to back is Sasuke and Kakashi.

I've only seen Sasuke once during the time we spent training for today. He sported a black outfit. Everything else was relatively the same.

"Sorry we're late, you wouldn't believe the traffic." Kakashi said. I gained an irk mark and Naruto grinned. Liar.

Naruto and I jumped down to him and Shikamaru. I scoffed. "You sure seem to act like you're so far above us huh Uchiha? $5,000 yen you lose because of your big head." I crossed my arms, a smirk on my face.

He wasn't insulted. He's used to my insults. He smirked back. "I'll take your bet. And you and Naruto? Didn't bring shame to our team did you?"

Naruto scoffed, but a grin remained on his face. "We beat them! There wasn't any doubt. We are Uzumaki's, believe it!"

Sasuke sent me a smile before smirking at Naruto. "You're still a loser."

Although it was his usual insult, there was no hurtful force to it. Naruto was grinning. It was how they showed affection to each other.

"Sorry if we kept you waiting. But, uhm, how late are we? I mean it's not like Sasuke's, well, disqualified or anything right?"

I shot our sensei a glare. He's just as guilty as the stupid Uchiha. But . . . I glanced at Sasuke and smiled. I'm glad to see him. I've missed him.

The proctor looked down. "Like master like pupil, Even your lousy sense of time." I smirked.

Kakashi was rubbing the back of his head. "Well, what about it?"

"Well you were so late, we extended the deadline for you, twice in fact. And it's lucky for you we did because you just made it. No, he's not disqualified."

Naruto and I grinned at each other and high fived. I looked over to see Sasuke staring at Gaara, and the kid staring right back. I frowned. Well than.

"I'll take you on too Miyu. $5,000 yen Sasuke wins." I grinned. Sasuke, Naruto, and I shared a mischievous smile. The game's about to start.

"Alright guys, let's go up in the stands and watch." I grabbed the back of Shikamaru and Naruto's shirts and easily pulled them away and up the steps.

As I was still pulling them, I stopped and watched Gaara who was descending the stairs.

I released the boy's shirts and stared into his teal eyes. He was aways away and two grass ninja stopped in front of him.

They were talking about making him lose. And I could tell they would hurt him, or patronize him. I knew Gaara was about to blow.

I took a step forward. "Stop." My voice was loud, demanding, calm, serious, and in control. Everyone froze at the sound of it and turned to me.

"Leave the kid alone and beat it. And you, you have a match to go to. Now quit being little brats and move on." My voice was cold as steel, even to my own ears. But it was working.

The two grass ninja ran off and Gaara hadn't killed them.

I could feel Naruto and Shikamaru tense and felt their stares on my back. But I continued to stair at Gaara who was heading our way.

He stopped inches away from me. He's a killer that much I know.

"You take anything too far in the match, you try and kill him, and I will kill you. And it will be slow and painful. I will coat the ground in your blood."

My voice was threatening, and sounded far away. It sounded terrifying even to my own ears.

He didn't say anything and went past me.

I turned to see Naruto and Shikamaru frozen. I smiled, lighting up the mood. "Come on, the match will start soon."

They snapped out of it and together we headed back to our area.

Now, the final battle. Sasuke . . . stay safe.
