Village Distress: A New A-Ranked Mission!

The familiar feeling of traveling overwhelmed me, putting a slight strain on me. It's not easy travelling far distances, but it's not too difficult.

I landed on a branch in front of Sasuke, Gaara, and the others. They all looked shocked. But I ignored them and dropped my friends.

My eye twitched in annoyance. "NARA! You were awake this whole time?!" I shouted. He groaned before rubbing his head.

"I didn't want to get involved." He complained.

My eye twitched again. This brat. I sighed, before facing the enemy. I narrowed my eyes on them. I only needed to grab Sasuke, but I have a bad feeling about Gaara.

If he's a tailed beast, I can't let him recover. If he is unleashed, chaos would erupt and surely this village will be destroyed.

I clenched my fists. I need to kill him.

Kankuro looked at me, fully looked at me. He than handed Temari Gaara. "Take Gaara. I'll take care of her."

Temari looked at him incredulously. Before she could speak. "She will kill us. Remember the mission. Go!" Temari looked at her brother one last time before jumping away.

I smirked. "Well, well, well. It's been a while huh kitty boy? You know, I don't appreciate you hurting my village."

From the distance, I felt immense chakra. But I couldn't focus on that. Not right now. No, now, I need to take out the enemy.

He has to die.

I sat in my seat and faced Mizuki. He was covering for Iruka today. Even back then I didn't like him.

I stared at him boredly. Naruto decided to run away and skip class with Shikamaru, Kiba, and Choji.

"Now, as for an important shinobi conduct, there will be times where your faced with two options. Kill or be killed.

I raised an eyebrow as some of the whispers of shock started. Come on. You're here to be a ninja. Blood will be on your hands.

"I know, you don't like the idea, but this is the ninja life. You are aiming to be shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. You are to protect the village, your home, your hokage, and your people. And if by doing that means killing the enemy, that you must do it."

Kill or be killed.

I've always known this. I sighed and glanced out the window. I closed my eyes. What's the point? Who cares if the people here die? If the old man dies?

I don't care.

They can all die.

As long as Naruto lives. I couldn't care less if everyone else dies.

I care about this village. I care about gramps. I care about my people. I love them. These stubborn fools forced their way into my heart.

They're annoying. They're loud. They're obnoxious. They're cocky. They're prideful. They're competitive. They're jealous. All they do is bitch and whine. They think they're at the top of the world. They think they're the best of the best. They fight all the time. They fight over boys. They fight over who's the best. They're arrogant.

But I love that about them. Sure, they annoy me to no end, but those fools tore their way into my heart.

Not just Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and gramps. But all of them the rookie nine, the academy students, the elders, the ninja, the towns people.

I love them all dearly.

I will not let them die.

I'll tear down anyone who threatens my family. This village, these ninja, these children, they are my family!

And those who pick on my family better run. Because I'll tear them to shreds. Nobody touches what I love.

I . . . will do anything for those who I love. I'll kill; I'll stain the earth crimson. I'll commit the ultimate sin. I'll do anything to shelter them.

A small smile formed on my face. I then gave a determined look forwards at Kankuro.

I would die for them.

When did that happen?

I hated them all so much. I wished this would have happened at some point. But now? Now I wish they were sheltered and happy go lucky like usual.

Because I love these idiots.
