Keep on Training: Pop Goes the Water Balloon!

The sun was setting, our teacher is snoring away, and Naruto and I have yet to make our water balloons pop! This is harder then I thought.

To be honest, I've been trying to learn this jutsu since my training with gramps. Rasengan, a trademark of my fathers. I wanted to learn it with gramps, but he had me learn how to walk on water, Shadow Shuriken, he helped me improve on my chains, and taught me how to suppress the curse mark.

But we never got around to this, only a couple days. We only had a month; I haven't been working on it at all after it. It only figures I can't pop it right away. None of my jutsu's was mastered as easily as my friend's think it was.

It took me four months to learn Twin Dragon Jutsu, it took me a year in a half to produce chains made of chakra, and even now, I haven't quite mastered them, It took me two years to control my chakra the way I have, I know Fire Ball Jutsu thanks to practicing with Sasuke and even then it took me a while.

As for those jutsu's I used in the preliminary round of the Chunin Exam . . . they aren't mine to take the glory. I'm not this genius everyone makes me out to be. It takes me a little while to learn a jutsu. Except I have learned a few in short period, but they aren't that impressive.

My father mastered this in three years. I'm not nearly as gifted as he was.

I sighed and went back to concentrating. I need to focus. Concentrate. Channel that chakra. Control it; let it come out in a stream. Come on Miyuna. A thin layer of sweat was on me. I'm running a little low on chakra.

"This is crazy what do I have to do?!" Naruto shouted suddenly, making me jump. Jiraiya awoke at the sudden shout. "Well did you do it?" He asked.

I sighed. No, we have not. "No, but we're really close." I concentrated more. It's like my chakra empowered punches. Ignoring their conversation, I continued. I can do it. Work . . . more, more, more. Spiral, control, stream, chakra, punch. The water in the balloon went wild before popping.

The two turned to me in shock. I blinked a couple of times before falling to my knees. "Sleepy." I grumbled, falling to the ground, passing out.

~Five Days Later~

I watched as Naruto had his chakra in his right and left hand swirling. He ran his right hand in different directions across the balloon, making it move and swirl in different directions before bursting.

"Wow! That was great Naruto!" I admired. We went down to breakfast as Naruto explained how the cat of the inn keeper was the one to teach him how to do it.

I glanced at Jiraiya. "A cat teaches better then you." His head hit the table. "You were able to pass it on day one!" He tried to defend his honor. "Actually gramps taught me another way to learn it. We didn't get much on it, but adding this day it took me five days as well."

Gramps had me practice without anything. Water balloons is a better exercise. He fell as well. I looked up at Naruto.

He's used a lot of chakra. His chakra network can't withstand the strain. At least right now. And the next step must be harder to learn then the first.

We finished eating and getting ready before heading back to where we would train. "Are you two ready for the second step now?" Jiraiya asked. Naruto grinned widely. "Yeah! Next step! What next? Weapons?"

Jiraiya handed us a rubber ball. Hm.

"Let's see if you can pop this one." He held one in his hand and demonstrated it. I watched his chakra as it quickly went to work and popped it.

This is going to be harder. Naruto and I attempted it, but they didn't pop. Just as I suspected. This isn't going to be easy. "The first element is rotation. The second element is force. But this object is solid. There's no water inside so it'll be more difficult to enforce your chakra rotation on it."

"Yeah, I see that." Naruto said. "I'll leave it to the two of you to figure out." Hm. I see. This is going to be tricky. "In the meanwhile, I'm going back to my research."

I scoffed. Typical Jiraiya. I sighed loudly as Naruto called after him to stay. I wonder what Sasuke's up to. It's been a week now. Shaking my head, I decided to get back to work.

~Three Weeks Later~

I sighed and sat down. This is difficult. I expect no less for such a jutsu. I glanced at Naruto, whose arms were twitching in pain. I want to tell him to stop and take a break, to relax, but I know he won't listen. This is the way to train. Till you're absolutely exhausted and in pain.

"Miyu." Naruto spoke. "Hm?" I turned to him curiously. My pig tails moving in the wind. "Do you ever feel lonely that we don't have a dad or a mom?"

I looked at the sky. I know I spoke to our father, but for some reason I can't quite remember it. I can't even remember his voice. It happened last month, but I've already forgotten.

Why? I don't even know. "Yes. But I have you." I said, smiling at him. A small smile made its way onto his face. "Is what Pervy Sage said three weeks ago getting to you?" I asked, remembering him saying harshly that he wasn't our father and we needed to be by ourselves like shinobi and learn it by ourselves.

He could have said it nicer. And the other day we witness a father a son sharing twin popsicle. It probably got to him.

"A little. But he's right. Alright! One more time!" He went back to it. Looking at him a bit longer, I hugged him from behind. "Miyu?" He asked.

I buried my face in his chest. "I know what you're feeling. And I'm sorry. But we have each other. We're family after all. Siblings. I'll always be with you."

He gripped my arms and nodded. "Yeah. You're right. Alright Miyu, let's show Pervy Sage!" I grinned and released him, nodding.

Picking up the rubber ball, I focused. If I want to grow stronger, learning this jutsu is the way to do it.

No matter what, I will grow stronger. I will be able to save those I care for, and I will use my strength to guide them.

Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Choji, everyone, I will come back stronger. And I'll bring back Tsunade, so she can heal Lee.

Even if it takes everything in me to do so.
