I yelled at Adam to get over here. "What's wrong?" He said once he saw the look on Joe's face. Joe explained that the cameras had stopped working and that he didn't know why. Apparently none of the stuff in the tech tent was working.
"We need to sort this out. Fast." Adam had already taken off towards the tech tent and called us from behind to follow him. As we ran we saw Ned and Gina, who took the hint that something was wrong.
How could this have happened? I wasn't an expert on computers so I had no idea how to help out. We all quickly reached the tech tent and headed inside.
Turns out only one thing could have caused the cameras and everything else to crash. Humans.
"We need to fix this." Said Joe. "We also need to find who's messed with everything."
"I don't get it." replied Adam. "Everyone was at the party, I didn't see anyone that was missing. I'm pretty sure everyone was there."
"Hang on." I said calmly. "What's so bad about the cameras crashing?" Joe said that we wouldn't be able to see if anything was coming towards the camp. Basically, we were blinded.
"This is bad." Said Ned. I agreed. If we didn't know what was happening on the outside of the camp then we wouldn't know when to defend ourselves.
"I'll be back." Said Adam. "I'm gonna go get some people to be security."
"I'll go too." I said quickly. I wanted to help the camp. They had all been kind and I wanted to help protect them. "Me too." Ben came towards me and gave me a hug. "I don't want to leave you." He whispered. I smiled and turned to Calem.
"You stay with Gina and Ned. I don't want you in any trouble, alright?"
"OK, be safe." Calem said before giving me a hug.
Adam told Ben and I to follow him and we all headed out of the tent. Adam took us to his tent where we grabbed a large trunk filled with weaponry. It was heavy and it took all three of us to lift it. We carried it to the campfire and Adam called some other people over.
"Alright." Adam said to all of us. "All the tech stuff is crashed so we need to be on our guard. I'm gonna hand out weapons and we'll all take position around the camp. Got it?"
Everyone nodded and Adam started to hand out guns and sharp knives. One woman, her name was Laura, went to fetch some spears. Once we all had something to defend ourselves with, Adam started telling everyone where their stations would be.
There were about sixteen of us and Adam divided us equally into groups of four. I was in a group with Ben, Laura and Adam.
Everyone split up and my group headed East. We stopped at the tree line that headed into the forest and readied our weapons.
Then an ear piercing noise filled the air. Ben, Adam, Laura and I covered our ears.
The noise. It sounded like a siren.
