Lilac's P.O.V

Mitch and I found a small cave one day ago, and the two of us have stayed there for a while. We were sitting next to each other, eating a duck we killed. "I have, a little sister back at home." He said sighing. "Her name is Clarissa, and she's, she's dying." He continued. "We try to get medicine, but, we can't afford it." "What do you mean? Doesn't someone work in your family?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "I don't have a dad, my mom is at home taking care of my sister, and I always try to find a job. But I can't." He said putting his hands in his hair. "And so, this is why you volunteered....." I said getting quieter by the end of the sentence. "Basically." He answered. "To get money to heal my sister, heck, we don't even know what sickness she has. Let's just say we aren't the richest in the district." He said shrugging, "Now, tell me about yourself." "My family isn't the happiest. My mom and I would fight sometimes, and my brother Finn would just be himself..... I-I'm trying to give him the best childhood, but with the hunger games and my mom and I always fighting, I don't think ANYTHING I do is helping." I stuttered. "I guess we're on the same page." Mitch said looking at me. "Yeah...." I said looking away.

Then I saw the screen light up, and there was Matt and Noah. Matt was throwing spears at Noah, who was dodging them. Suddenly, an arrow came out of nowhere and hit Noah in the throat, which made him fall down. NOAH WIN: DEAD. Matt looked at the direction the arrow came from, and there stood Maria with an evil grin. Maria lunged at him with a small knife, but before she even touched him, Matt's district partner pushed her to the ground, and the two were wrestling on the ground. Matt looked at his partner nervously, trying to do something to help, but she said, "GO! NOW!" He looked at her in sadness and gratitude, and left. Suddenly, Maria pinned her to the ground, and stabbed her chest. For a few seconds, the dying girl was having a seizure, then she died. SOPHIA ALVARIS: DEAD. "I wonder how Matt reacted." Mitch said. "Yeah." I said. I bet he felt horrible, like he could've helped her, but he did nothing. I saw the screen light up again, showing a man who said, "Dear fellow remaining tributes, we would like to tell you that we have refilled the cornucopia, since there are 6 remaining tributes. There is food, medicine, anything you need to survive. I wish you luck, and may the odds be ever you your favor." I looked at Mitch with a surprised face. "We have to go there." Mitch said with determination. (Dat determination) " I agree, let's go before others do." I said. "Let's leave our stuff here, we don't wanna go there with full hands." Mitch suggested. I nodded and began leading the way.
