It was a Saturday night, and like on most Saturday nights, my best friend, George Weasley, was off pranking someone. But unlike most Saturday nights, he hadn't taken his twin brother, Fred, with him, and so I was forced to put up with constant poking and distraction from my homework.

But I didn't mind too much. In a lot of ways, Fred was similar to George, and I really enjoyed his company. He made writing the charms essay much more entertaining, to say the least.

Still, by the fifth time he enchanted a pillow to fall on my head, I was starting to get a bit irritated. And there was no way I was going to let him get away with it.

When Fred tried again, I grabbed the pillow out of the air and threw it at him, hitting him square in the face. I laughed so hard at his startled expression that I was barely able to duck out of the way when he threw it back at me.

"Fred!" I giggled, "You're going to have to try harder than that if you want to get me back!" And with that, I leapt up from the table and sprinted across the room, charms essay forgotten.

But he was faster and stronger than me, and before long, Fred had grabbed me around the waist and pulled me down onto the nearest couch with him.

"Really, y/n?" he asked me, laughing, "Because that was pretty easy!"

Then, he started tickling me. Tickling! I hate to be tickled, because I totally lose control of my body, and Fred knew it. I almost screamed, but instead I cackled madly and tried to squirm out of his reach.

Before long, both of us were laying out of breath side by side on the couch. After a bit, I decided that I actually did need to work on my essay and got up to move it, over to the couch where Fred and I had been sitting.

That was when I saw George glaring at me from across the room.

What had I done?

I headed over to where George was sitting, to see what the matter was.

"George, you're back!" I said with a smile, "Why don't you come sit with Fred and I?"

"No, no, I don't want to intrude," he replied, with an emphasis on the word intrude and an obviously fake smile on his face.

"What do you mean, 'intrude?' We were just hanging out."

"Oh, nothing," George said, "Only you never 'hang out' with me like that."

It took me a moment, but I finally understood what was making George upset. He was jealous. I almost laughed out loud - I wasn't interested in Fred at all in that way!

"I would if you wanted," I told him with a smile, but George only rolled his eyes.

"Come on, George!" I sighed, "You can't honestly think I want to date Fred. I mean, he's alright, but I think we both know who's the better looking out of you two." I winked at him.

George couldn't help but smile a bit at that, even though I could tell he didn't want to.

"Just between you and me, I'd rather date you anyways."

And with that, I skipped away, laughing to myself about George's bemused expression and sort of hoping that I would have a date for the next Hogsmeade weekend.
