Y/N pov:
"You can't just go wondering off alone!"
"Yes I can, Harry! I don't need you telling me if something is safe or not!". He had been snapping at you over little things for a while now. You definitely didn't know what was going on, but it was getting on your nerves.
"Don't you get it?! I want to make sure you're safe! I want to take care of you, Y/N!", he shouted with tensity in his voice. He seemed very serious.
"I can assure my own safety! I don't always need you to rescue me from trouble!". You hated to yell at him. You hated to argue with the boy you loved so deeply.
"Do you really think that you can keep yourself safe? Really?!". His words felt like a punch to the stomach. Harry kept his eyes on you - you could see regret in his eyes - he knew that he had hurt you. "Y/N, I didn't me-".
"I can take care of myself, Harry! I can-.. and, I will. I'm done with you second guessing me! I'm done with you! I'm done with us!", you stopped him and shouted whilst holding back tears. Why would you say that? What had gotten over you? Before he could say anything, you ran out of the Gryffindor common room. You could hear him mumbling your name, but you didn't look back - you couldn't.
Seven Days Later
Y/N pov
You had been avoiding eye-contact with him. You hadn't exchanged a single word with him. And it was killing you inside. What made everything more difficult; you were best friends with him, Ron and Hermione.
"Just talk to him", Hermione whispered to you during a class of Transfiguration as she glanced to the other side of the classroom to look at Harry.
"I don't want to". It was obvious to everyone, that you were lying. You wanted to jump into his arms, apologize a thousand times and kiss his lips. You really did - but you were too stubborn.
"Please, Y/N. Not talking to Harry is killing him as much as it's killing you - or maybe ever more-". I tried to keep my mind on the work sheets, but my eyes started to wonder around the classroom. Then they stopped to look at the back of Harry's head. "- just say anything to him!", Hermione hissed just as McGonagall dismissed the class.
You grabbed your books and stormed out of the class room with no hesitation. You walked as fast as you could, but ended up stopping in-front of the Great Hall.
"My quill!", you worded as you turned on your heels only to bump into someone. You started to apologize, but you weren't able to finish that sentence when you saw the person you bumped into. "Oh, I'm so sor-". You didn't know what to say. "Harry", you mouthed shyly as you took a small step away from him.
"You left your quill to the classroom. And-.. I decided to bring it to you", he spoke unsurely as he lifted the feather to your hands. "Thank you". Now you were just completely still. You wanted to apologize over every little thing, but your brain fought against your feelings. The fight really wasn't your fault; but the 'not speaking to him for a week' -thing, that was totally your fault. Silence surrounded you two.
"Well.. I should go", you mumbled and turned on your heels again, but being stopped with Harry's hand around your wrist. You didn't turn to look at him.
"Please, don't go. Please. I can't take another week not talking to me. I can't take another week us avoiding eye-contact. I can't take another seven days not kissing your lips or holding you in my arms. I love you too much to act as if I was okay with it". Now you turned to look at him with your eyes starting to water. "I'm sorry, Y/N", he said.
"I'm sorry too. I love you, Harry", you replied as a tear rolled down your cheek. He pulled you closer and placed his lips on yours whilst cupping your jaw with his hand.
