The Secrets (Hinata X Sasuke)

Chapter 8: It's about time I tell the truth...

I wake up earlier than the others.
Looking around at my sleeping team mates made me remember that we're on a mission still and that I need to hurry with my own mission.

I glance over the futons and noticed that someone wasn't in there futon on the boys side. Since it was still pretty dark I couldn't tell who it was that was awake and out of their futon already.
I get out of my futon quietly, grabbing my things to get dressed and ready for the day.

I head to the bathroom to change, brush my teeth, and brush my hair. After I was done I went into the kitchen to see if the other that was awake was in here. No one is spotted. "I'll just look outside then..."

I look around the front garden of the old man's house but found nothing. I look around the whole house but there was no one to be found.

"Hinata?" Sasuke's voice appeared out of no where. "Sasuke?" I say looking around. When I finally look up, I see Sasuke looking down at me with a faint smile. "Oh... Good Morning, Sasuke." I say giving him a smile in return. I jump up to the roof to be at equal heights.

"Mornin' Hinata." He nodded my way and sat down at the very top of the roof where it was easier to sit. I joined him, sitting next to him. Close but not too close.

We sat there silently for about 15 minutes.

I, finally tired of the silence, speak up. "Sasuke... about last night. I'm sorry about saying those things without truly knowing your feelings for Sakura. I probably ruined things between you guys."

Sasuke looks over at me and chuckled. I blush at his soft laugh and look at him back. "It's fine, Hinata. Your words were accurate to the way I feel towards Sakura. She only thinks of herself and chooses people by there looks and not by their personality. So you were definitely in the right." Sasuke says with his eyes as gentle as ever.

He made me blush big time. I looked away from him quickly so he wouldn't notice the red in my cheeks.

When I glanced over at the corner of my eye, I saw him smile at me with a faint blush. It was so cute...

After another 15 minutes of silence I look over at Sasuke. "Sasuke? I should probably tell you something thats very important..." I say.
Sasuke looked over at me again. "What is it?"

I suck in huge quad of air and breath it out slowly. Preparing myself to tell Sasuke the truth about me and about my mission. It takes me a bit to prepare myself but I finally look at him once again and open my mouth.
"Sasuke... I'm not human. I've been sent here to keep you from doing something very regretful when your older..." I finally spill some of my confession out.
"And..." Sasuke stops me with a noise.
"I new there was something different about you, Hinata. You never let out a presence or an aura like everyone else does. But what do you mean 'not human' and 'do something regretful'?"
"You know the curse that was placed on your neck and the man who forced it opon you? Well that man, will force you to go to him, saying that he'll make you stronger. You'll decide to go with him which isn't a good choice on your part. It'll lead to something really regretful. And I'm here to stop that from happening." I explain.
Sasuke looks at me with disbelief but at the same time I knew he believed the words that I was saying.

"What's that regretful thing that I'll do?" He asks, wanting to know more.

"You'll kill your brother. Something comes after that but I cannot tell you that part. It'll have to be your decision to stop yourself. I'm just here to convince you that something will happen to you after you kill your brother. And it's something really bad, Sasuke."

Sasuke thinks to himself for awhile, while looking into my eyes.

"I'll try. I don't want to regret anymore then what I already do." Sasuke finally says, looking at me.

I nod. "As long as you try and I'll help, okay?" I smile. Sasuke nods and smiles back.
