We sigh at the same time.

This is seriously a drag on our part. Sakura is always causing us problems.

Sasuke and I sit patiently for Kakashi's arrival behind the big tree we've been hiding at.

"He sure is taking his sweet time..." Sasuke says, breaking the short silence between us. His face was a bit pinkish. I'm sure he's thinking about that little confession that went on from earlier.

I look over at Sasuke and whisper, "are you sure that you like me? Even knowing that I'm not really human." I ask him, nervous to what he's going to say.

He nods, "I think I like you a lot, Hinata."

I blush, and show a faint smile. This is really happening, huh? It's nerve racking but this feeling is worth it. I can't believe it, of all people, Sasuke is the one who likes me.

After another long silence, Kakashi finally arrives. The old man wasn't with him so he must have dropped him off at his house.

No wonder it took him so long...

Sasuke and I stand up.

"Sorry for the wait..." Kakashi says while scratching his head, pulling off a grin.

"It's fine but we need to start thinking of something fast because Sakura is caught with the victims. Apparently they were kidnapping people not just killing them." I say under my breath, for only they could hear me.

Sasuke nods. "Do you have any ideas, Kakashi Sensai?" He asks, looking up at his teacher.

Kakashi sighs, placing his right hand under his chin in thought.

"I think we should just take them out in small groups." He starts. "Sasuke you go ahead and take the two on the right and Hinata, you go to the two on the left and take them out at the same time. We'll be left with three more." He explains our plan while looking at the group carefully.

The two bandits that Sasuke was after, on the right, were leaning on a tree next to a group of tied up adults. My group was on the opposite side but my side had Sakura, the left. The last three was in the middle of the open area in the middle of the woods.

"Let's get started." Kakashi says.

Sasuke and I nod and jump to our position. We quietly walk on a branch over their heads. Before the opposites sides could notice us up in the tree, we jump down and strike them in the neck making them collapse.

"We're saved!" Villagers say as they notice us taking the two groups out.

The three bandits that were left looked up towards Sasuke and I. Kakashi jumped out at the last minute and got rid of the two side kicks and left the one who looked like the leader.

Sasuke went ahead and untied the people.

I did the same.

After untying the kidnapped people and tying up the bandits after. We told Sakura to take the villagers back to the village.

Kakashi, Sasuke and I stayed back to question the leader.

Kakashi tied the leaders hands and pushed him down so he'd sit. "Why are you attacking this village and only taking the adults?" He starts.

The Bandit Leader looks down, not answering.

One of the bandits on the side say, "don't blame our leader! It isn't the reason you think it is. We did it because we were evacuated from the village," he yells. Then says quieter, "our village...".

Kakashi was surprised to hear this.

He went on, "It was a long time ago, in fact, it was many, many years ago." He pauses again and looks away, "this village was called the Acient Mist. We held a sacret power that only our ancestors, our people new about but as time went, word finally got out that there was a powerful power. Armies, group of bandits, other villages would come and attack. It was more then what our ancestors could handle so our land was taken away. Our two families were the only survivors. Us kids, sons of our surviving families, wanted to get our village back and save the sacred power from the people who took it from us." The bandit finally finished his story/explanation.

Kakashi sighs.

"Well this is a bit complicated..." I say, looking over at Kakashi. "What now?" I add.

Kakashi shrugs. "Where is this power?" He asks.

The leader finally looked up and said, "the power is in the huge temple that no one goes into now a days. Lately, the power has been weakening so no one goes to that temple anymore. That power would usually give people the ability to with stand pain or heal the ill but I heard that it wasn't working and hasn't for awhile so the people stopped going."

Kakashi nods. "We'll help you get it back but I don't think we'll be able to help you gain the village itself back." He says, starting to untie the leaders hands.

"Really?" The leader asks shocked. "You're willing to trust our story?"

Kakashi nods. "Hinata over there," he starts. I wave with a smile. "Can tell when people lie." He finishes.

We untie the other bandits and group together.

The leader starts to explain the look of the 'power'. "The power is a orb, a bright yellow orb. Long ago it was formed by a falling rock and our ancestors found it." Another bandit adds, "We have to be real careful with it." He says.

Anotber explains, "the ord is placed at the very top of the temple. If we go at night, we'll be able to get in and out. But I'm sure during the day, seeing people go in and out with a bright ball would uproar the village even more." He sighs out.

Kakashi nods at their explanations.

I go ahead say, "We'll go at night. I'm sure there's a back way so we enter there and leave the same way. If something goes wrong then you guys will take a run for it with the orb and that'll be the end."

Kakashi and Sasuke look over with a grin. "Sounds like a plan to me." Kakashi says. The bandits agree with a smile.

The leader and the others bow their head deeply. "Thank you so much!" They say in unison.
