The Secrets (Hinata X Sasuke)

Chapter 16

"Sasuke... You..." I had no words. I became blank from the shock and happiness that was building up inside me but Sasuke's face was undoubtedly serious.

I look away. Sasuke had took my chin, forcing me to look at him.

"You don't believe me?" His eyes showed a little hurt in them. I shook my head frantically, making him drop his hand. "Of course I believe you, Sasuke. I'm just... A little flustered is all." I say with a faint blush.

Sasuke shows a faint smile. "Then please don't doubt my feelings for you, Hinata."

I blush even more and nod.

Time passed by fairly quickly while being where we were and telling each other about our past. Our pain. Our happiness. Getting to know each other more and more.

Timed jumped so quickly while we talked away the day. The sun started to set. We decided that now should be the time to head back and leave the training grounds. On our way back to the village, Sasuke and I concider going to Ichiraku Ramon before parting ways for the day. Before the both of us get there, we were stopped by Kakashi sensei.

"Hinata, Sasuke. Tomorrow, meet at the hokages office bright and early." Kakashi was semi serious like always. We both acknowledge his demand. Kakashi leaves fairly quickly, leaving us by ourselves.

I look over at Sasuke with a shrug. "Probably just another side mission..." He says also shrugging with a slight smile. I give him a gentle smile and nod.

"Maybe."

We get to Ichiraku Ramon and see Naruto eating his usual pile of Ramon.

"Naruto, you eat too much!" Sakura comes along, shocking me and Sasuke right after we ordered our bowls.

It was probably a bad idea coming here... All she'll probably do is cause a frantic between the three of us, meaning Sasuke, me and Sakura.

Naruto raises his head, looking towards us now and away from the bowl. He gives us a wave and Sakura a frown, "I eat the right amount I need! Go bug someone​ else!" He gives Sakura a snarl and goes back to shoveling the noodles into his mouth.

Sakura shrugs her shoulders with a glare to all three of us. Sakura stared coldly at me like she'd usual would but this time it was a lot colder.

I wonder why... Sarcasm, I know why.

I shake her cold glare off, facing away and towards the cook. Our orders were steaming hot, ready to be eaten already. Sasuke and I get ready to chow-down but we were rudely interrupted by Sakura again.

"Sasuke... Why?" She says slightly loud but obviously attempting to act cool and composed. Sasuke ignores her. He grabs a pair of chopsticks and slurps down a chopstick full of noodles.

I look over my shoulder and sigh a non-noticeable sigh.

"Is there something wrong with me? Is it because of my forehead?" She went on persistently. She looks down at her hands that were now intertwined with each other. Nervously, "I love you, Sasuke... I loved you first." She continues.

"Why not me? Hinata will never love you as much as I love you!" Her eyes start to blur with tears in her eyes. Sakura tries so hard to keep her tears from falling but I don't think they'll hold.

Sasuke finally turns around to face her. He gives her a cold stare. "What do you know about me?" He asks sternly.

Sakura looked up at him and stared with a pitiful face. "I.... I..." She stutters, tears are now falling. "I know nothing... Besides that you were always alone when we were kids and like to eat tomatoes and rice balls." She explained.

"That's it?" Sasuke looks away, stuffing a mouthful of Ramon in his mouth again. "Have you ever wanted to know more about me? Or was it just about you and I being "together"?" He continued, making Sakura feel even more hurt then what she had already been.

Her tears ran down her flushed cheaks even more. Naruto and I had stopped eating to listen to the conversation. We stared at the both of them intensively. Sakura looks away to wipe the tears away.

"I... Guess I never really thought of that. I was selfish and only cared for your attention." Sakura wishes she could say that out loud. She kept it to herself. The only answer Sasuke got was a river of tears.

"I'm sorry..." Is all Sakura could say before running away. I looked over at Sasuke in concern.

Did Sasuke ever secretly have feelings for Sakura?

Alrighty! I think I'm getting back into the groove xD I definitely will be updating a lot more. I'll try every weekend.
