Chapter 5: A Lie?

Kakashi walks behind us four. He sighs a light sigh and then starts talking. "Now that we're away from the village, I can explain our mission. It's an important mission. An 'S' rank mission. We're..." Before Kakashi could even finish.

Naruto yells out and jumps in the air with excitement. "REALLY, SENSAI!?" Naruto attempts to jump on Kakashi but he pushes his head away, making Naruto fall to the ground.

"Naruto! Let Kakashi-sensei finish!" Sakura frowns at Naruto, then goes back to looking at Kakashi.

Kakashi sighs, then starts talking again. "We're going to the village in the mist. Apparently there's been a problem with the Akatsuki and we have to get rid of them or keep them away from our neighboring village." Kakashi finishes.

What's going on? Isn't the Akatsuki where Itachi Uchiha... wait! This'll be a good chance for me to rid the vengeance Sasuke has! Good... Thanks Kakashi Sensei.

I look over at Sasuke. His eyes were glittering with happiness and anger. I grin his way before looking back at Kakashi.

"Well, let's get going already!" Naruto says, taking the words right out of my head.

Yes. Let's get going!

As we walk through the walking path in the woods, we finally end up getting to the village in the mist.

It's reputation does wonders to its name. It's really misty here. It's so misty that a normal human could only see past 6 ft in front of them.

We cross the huge, long bridge. Getting to the side where the mist is not so misty. Seeing kids running around and adults shopping and walking through the village that lays on the other side of the bridge.

The five of us stood at the end of the bridge, watching the people act so normally when they are supposedly in danger.

I look at Sasuke who was standing next to me. He looks back. We then both look at Kakashi and frown.

"What is this?" Sasuke asks with an annoyed tone in his voice. Kakashi shrugs. He was as clueless as we were. "I don't understand it myself. I was expecting this village to be a bit... destroyed."

Naruto looks around in frustration. "This is LAME! Lord GRAMPS lied to you Kakashi-sensei." He kicks his foot in annoyance and in frustration.

Sakura just stood there listening to the conversation.

Being as useless as ever.

While communicating with each other, a man interrupts us.

"Excuse me. Are you Ninjas from the village hidden in the leaf?" The man calmly asks the five of us. Kakashi nods. "Yes. Are you the one that hired us ninjas to help your village?" The man nods and smiles. "Please follow me. You'll be staying at my house for the time you'll be staying in this village."

The man starts walking, going through the crowds of people and kids.

The five of us follow him quietly until we get to his home where he, his grandson, and daughter live at. As we enter his home, he starts to explain the REAL reason why we were sent here.

Apparently, the reason why we're here is NOT because of the Akatsuki.

This is not what I wanted...
