"The girls are on their way over for the slumber party!" You said excitedly, walking up to your husband Noah. You rubbed your hands together happily.
"What girls?" He looked suspiciously at you and your eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"I told you last week, sweetie. Your sisters are going to spend the night with me in the tent and you're sleeping in the main cabin tonight. Did you forget?"
"I never forget anything." He said and tossed his head back a little. "Are you sure you told me?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
When you first met Noah you knew he was different from any man you had ever met. That, and his sexy smile and bright eyes made him stand out in any crowd. But being married to Noah was a bit...well...challenging. He was extremely intelligent but he could also be extremely focused. And you found out quickly that if you didn't have his full attention it was as if you didn't exist. Sliding up to him and pressing your breasts to his back always made him look up and pay attention to you, but depending on where you both were, that wasn't always practical or appropriate.
"I told you last week," You repeated. "Right after we finished target practice with the long bow. Remember?"
Noah's gaze shifted slightly and you saw a slight smile appear as his normally pink cheeks turned even pinker.
"What did I say about telling me important things right before we make love?" He moved close and let his hand slide down your cheek as his thumb moved gently over your lower lip.
You tried to stay focused on what you were trying to tell him but when he started doing that thing with his thumb your mind quickly slipped to another place. He didn't seem to realize that because you craved his touch so much it was hard to find a time to talk to him when the conversation didn't end with the two of you naked and in each other's arms. Normally you could only make sure you wouldn't end up in the bedroom when you were around other people. And even then, when his eyes would travel over your face and his sweet smile would appear, you would slip your hand onto his thigh as you leaned in close and inhaled his warm scent. The one time you were sitting at dinner with the whole family, you had slid your hand too far up his thigh. Noah had jerked in surprise and his mother innocently asked, "Are you ok, dear?" And no, he most certainly was not ok. But he recovered his composure quickly and pushed your hand down a few inches and began a long discussion about the lifespan of a white tree spider and the conversation moved right along after that.
"OK, sweetie." You leaned against him and wrapped your arms around his waist, loving the feel of him pressed against you. "Let's agree that I forgot to remind you and you forgot that I did actually tell you."
Noah pondered your deal and even though he didn't like the idea of admitting he forgot, he couldn't stop thinking about the feel of your lip under his thumb and your soft warm body tight to his. His hands came up and he held your face with both hands and your body tingled as his deep kiss set you on fire.
"Ok. I'll admit to that." He whispered with his mouth close to yours.
As his fingers smoothed against your skin, his hand began to travel further down and you felt him tugging at the zipper on your vest, yanking it down. You groaned as his hand found its way inside your vest and-
"Noah, stop!" You laughed and pushed his hand away. "Your sisters are on their way over for the slumber party."
"Oh, yeah. Noah pressed his forehead to yours and he tried to drive back his yearning for you. "I forgot."
