it was my birthday and it was safe to say i was feeling miserable. i was dating Mitch but, it was long distance, i live in america while he is in canada and we see each other during breaks and all but, today i just missed him.

i hopped onto my laptop to try skype him but he denied to request, my heart sunk so deep that even the titanic was above it. i laid back on my bed and felt the tears well up in my eyes, i sighed before i heard the front door click, i thought it was just my room mate so i stayed on the bed.

seconds later i heard a knock on my door.

"go away, i dont want to speak" i called out as i stared at the ceiling.

the door opened and i just placed my hand over my eyes.

"but you just called me" i heard a familiar voice speak, i removed my hands as i sat up. i saw Mitch there with a bag and a present in his hand. the tears in my eyes just started to fall down my face, he laughed as he kneeled in front of me. he wiped my tears as he placed the tiny box in my hand.

"happy birthday Y/n" he whispered, i was in a mess of tears so i just leaned down and hugged him, i didnt let him go until i was done crying. all the while Mitch still held his smile and tried to soothe me. i sat back onto the bed when i had finished crying.

Mitch sat down next to me as we both looked at the tiny box.

"open it" he spoke, i nodded and undid the ribbon. i lifted the lid off to see a heart shaped locket. i opened it and saw a photo of me and Mitch kissing at a convention in the snow. i looked up at him and hugged him again.

"its beautiful, thank you so much" he laughed a little as he hugged me back.

"ella helped me out, she gave me her 'girl oppinion'" i laughed a little before kissing him.

"help me put it on." i moved my hair up as he took the chain to the back of my neck and did it up. i looked at the fragile little heart resting on my chest.

"Mitch, i love you so much. i didnt even know you were coming down" i hugged him again. leaning into his chest as he fiddled with my hair.

"its a suprise, plus i can watch it again and again on video" he laughed, i moved away from the hug and looked at him, he pointed to a camera in the corner of my room.

"you littl- did my roomate help you with this." he nodded while laughing"is this going on your channel?" he nodded again almost crying from laughter.

"i hate you."

"you love me, happy birthday babe"
