Part 21

Jen's POV:
The next morning I awake with a pair of beautiful arms wrapped around me and I suddenly remembered last night. I turn around to face Lana, and stare at the sleeping beauty next to me. "Morning Sleepy head." I whisper softly as I wipe a strand of hair out of her face. Her eyes flutter open and she smiles when she sees me. "How's my princess this morning?" She asked "she's much better thank you." I say with a smile but just then a thought occurred to me. I still hasn't gone to the hospital to be tested if I was pregnant or not. I frown and Lana looks at me with a sad face. "What's wrong?" She asks and I take a deep breath. "I still haven't gone to the hospital yet." I said and Lana took my hand. "Then let's go today." She says and I sigh. We have never talked about kids, yet we ended up adopting one before we are even married.. Don't get me wrong, I really want kids but I want to enjoy the time I have with Lana too. "What if... What if I'm pregnant?" I say trying to hold back the tears. "Then we will handle it, together." She says and pulls me into a hug. "Come on, let's get dressed and go, its better we find out sooner rather than later. Plus its Saturday so we aren't working today." She says as she throws off the covers. I nod and follow her into the bathroom, where we take a quick shower and then get dressed. We male our way down stairs when wensmell bacon cooking. We walk in and see Sara making breakfast. "Morning you two." Sara greets us with a smile. "What's all this for?" I asked her as my stomach growled. "Just as a thank you for everything." She answers and Lana and I take our seats at the table while Sara serves us. Once we are all seated I decide to tell Sara what the plan for the day is. "Your mom and I are going to the hospital to do some tests to see if I'm pregnant. You are more than welcome to come along, but it might be boring." I explain to her. "That's okay, you guys go, you need your space for this. Besides, Meghan is taking me to a movie today." She says with a smile. "Sara you don't have to worry about giving us Tims and space all the time. We want you in our lives too." Lana says and I nod in agreement. "I know, this whole thing is just so new for me and I'm still learning how to do this whole family thing." Sara says. "I know. Call us if you need anything." I say to her as we stand up to leave. We say goodbye to Lola and Ava before we head to the car.

Lana's POV:
The drive to the hospital was silent, which I was okay with. I know Jen is nervous about all of this. I can't imagine what she's going through. First her ex shows up to work with us, then her father dies, and now this... She's so strong and I really admire her bravery. "You know you don't have to keep your walls up around me." I say looking at Jen who looks at me when I speak. "I know." She says but doesn't say anything more. We pull up to the hospital and get out. We walk in hand in hand and walk up to the receptionist, who hands us a bunch of paperwork to fill out. It takes Jen a good 30 minutes to go over and sign all the papers. I walk the papers back up to the lady at the desk and go back to sit with Jen. We wait another 20 minutes before we are called into a room for testing. "So Jen, I understand your here to test to see if your pregnant." The nurse asks. "Yes." Jen says. "Okay, all we need from you today is to take some blood and we will test it." She said. "Alright." Jen replied. I sat down in the seat next to Jen as the nurse tied the blue band around her arm. Jen looked at me and smiled before the nurse stuck the needle in her vein and began to gather her blood. After a minute, it was done, and Jen untied the blue band from her arm. "Okay, looks good! We will be back in about 30 minutes with the results." The nurse said as she gathered everything to leave. Once she left and the door was closed, I grabbed Jens hand and looked into her beautiful eyes. She smiled at me before she leaned her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes.

Jen's POV:
my head was resting on Lana's shoulder and my eyes were closed when I heard the door open. I opened my eyes and lifted my head up to see the doctor walking in with a folder in his arms. "Hi Ms. Morrison, Ms. Parrilla. Ms. Morrison I have your test results here." He said opening the file. He looked some things over before looking at us with a smile. I squeezed Lana's hand and she gave me a reassuring smile and I nodded to the doctor as a signal to tell him I was ready to hear the news. "Congratulations Ms.Morrison, you are going to have a baby." He said and I couldn't help the tears that began to fall on my fave, tears I didn't know were threatening to fall. Lana hugged me and wiped away my tears as the doctor watched. "I know this news is shocking to the both of you, but there are still some options available if you decide you don't want to keep the baby." He says and I look at Lana then back at the doctor. "No I'm keeping this one, I'm not letting this one go like I did the last one." I said and Lana looked shocked, but lovingly into my eyes. "Okay, well congratulations! You can set up your appointment for the 12 week check at the front desk. Good luck you two." He says and leaves us alone in the room. I feel the smile on my face grow as the news settles in and I look at Lana who is grinning from ear to ear. "We are going to have a baby!" She says excitedly before she leans into kiss me and I kiss her back. We get up and walk out of the room and back to the front desk where we pay for the visit and schedule for the next appointment. On our way back home, we decide to call Ginny and Josh and incite them over for dinner. "Hey Ginny it's Lana Jen and I were wondering if your family would like to come over for dinner tonight?" She asked over the phone as I drove. "Sure we'd love to!" I heard Ginny say excitedly over the phone. "Okay, see you tonight at 6." Lana said before hanging up the phone. "They are going to be so happy for you."Lana says and smiles at me. I grab her hand and smile back at her while paying attention to the road. "No, there going to be happy for us." I say and we continue the drive home.
