Jen's POV:
Another a year went by, and Lana and I are anxiously watching Sara open her first college acceptance letter. Sara Turned 18 last month and was just finishing up her senior year. She applied to several different Universities, but she only had her mind on one, Colorado State University and the letter she was holding in her hands was from them. She took a deep breath, before opening the white envelope. She slowly took out the folded piece of card stock paper and unfolded it. The only thing Lana and I could see was the back of the school's seal imprint on the paper. "Dear Sara Morrison-Parrilla," Sara began to read, Lana and I holding each others hands tight." we have reviewed your application and would like to congratulate you on be half of becoming a member of Colorado State University's class of 2021..." Sara's voice trailed off from excitement, the letter dropped from her hands and she ran over and hugged Lana and I. "We are so proud of you baby girl!" I said happily while we hugged. "Well, I guess that means we should celebrate tonight?" Lana asked as we pulled away and Sara's face light up even more. "Movie night and Thai food?" Sara asked. Lana and I looked at each other with smiles on our faces before returning to look back at Sara. "Its your night honey."I said. "Yay! Thanks moms!" Sara said hugging us. She ran upstairs to get ready while Lana and I smiled at eachother. "I can't believe how much she's grown up." Lana says before she leans in and gently kisses me. "Neither can I." I answer remembering the day I gave birth to her then the day we met 16 years later. Just then, Ella started crying, so I made my way upstairs to check on her. Ella was bow just over a year old, and she was a handful. She loved Sara and Sara was an awesome big sister. I went up stairs, changed her diaper, then brought her back downstairs where we met Lana and Sara who were already ready to go.Lana's POV:
Our night out together was great, but it made made me sad to think it was one of the last nights like this before Sara went off to college. It would be weird not having her around anymore to help around the house and since Once Upon a Time was coming to an end with its eighth season, I was already feeling like my world was slowly coming apart. I wanted something else, I wanted a new challange, I wanted something new. The next night, Jen and I went out on a date night and that's when I brought it up with Jen "Jen?" I asked. "Yes babe?" She answered as she took a sip of her wine. "I... I want to adopt another baby." I say nervously not knowing how she would respond. She didn't answer, but I could see tears glisten in her eyes and a smile begin to form on her lips. She leaned in, and our lips clashed together. We kissed each other passionately, and I took that as my answer. We parted, and I looked into her eyes again as I brushed a strand of blonde hair out of her face. "You sure your okay with this?" I ask and she nods. "Its going to be weird not having Sara around. Besides I think they need a little brother." Jen says with a genuine smile and I kiss her again. The next morning we called the adoption agency after taking Ella to day care and while we drove to set. We knew it would be a few months before we would be approved, but we were determined to make it happen. We wanted our family to grow even more and we couldn't wait for another new addition to our family. When we got to work, we made the announcement to everyone, not like it would really affect our work since by the time we would have adopted the baby, Once Upon a Time would be over, but we told everyone because they were our second family.
Jen's POV:
I thought Lana's idea of adopting another child was great, and honestly the timing couldn't be any better. With Sara going away to college an Once coming to an end, we needed something to cheer us up. I was more than happy to continue growing my family with Lana and even though Once was ending soon, they would always be part of our family, and I would always be greatful to have them in my life.A/N: sorry this chapter was so short, this story is finally coming to a close as there is only one more chapter left😭
