Chapter 25 Part 1/ hide away\

Boys seem to like the girls who laugh at anything

~Sarah~
My parents and other 'Folks' used to tell me I would love high school but not like his is a shocker but I fudging hate it.
"What are you thinking about?" my friend Kara nudged me and I merely shrugged
I looked over to Natalie and Ashley who were fighting over absolutely nothing
Jess tapped my shoulder
"Eh?" She laughed at my response and pointed with her shoulder to a table with a girl who had one side of her hair blonde while the other brown and a baseball hat backwards, it was my turn to add to our group before Louise could add new kid to her stupid  group. I immediately got up and tapped the girls shoulder
"Hey new kid" she merely smiled at me and I held out a hand for her to shake
"My names Sarah" I said
"Alanna" she said as I lead her back to the table I saw Louise's boyfriend eye her up and down, when he saw my glance he snapped back to his girlfriend.
"Where are you from?" Natalie asks
"New York" she says proudly
"Wow" Jess says
"Your a little far from home" she nods before rubbing her neck
"Oh uh right these are my girls Natalie" Natalie gives me her signature move flipping me off Alanna laughs
"Signature move" I say to Alanna
"Jess" I say and she gives a little wave
"Kara- where'd she go?" I say suddenly Alanna points behind me to the hall she came from
"I saw her walk away before I came over, I caught sight of a boy" she says Ashley's mouth drops
"How did new kid see her disappear yet not one of us at the table saw her?!" Ashley is half yelling
"Sorry" she says suddenly Ashley pulls her hood over her head
Suddenly Alanna starts laughing so hard she falls off of her chair
"Uh...." Suddenly it's contagious and our entire group is just laughing and falling off chairs

The ones who get undressed before the second date

Kara walks back to the table a pink blush spreads across her face
"You were with Brandon weren't you" Natalie is sort of asking but stating the fact
"Was I that obvious I thought nobody saw me leave!" She exclaims
"New girl saw you dash away" Jess says
"Kara, this is Alanna" Alanna flashes a peace sign
"So kawaii" I say and flash a peace sign and Kara tries to hide a smile before laughing
"So random" she says to me
"What's your schedule?" Ashley asks scooting next to Ashley
"Ugh! Why does everyone have a class together and I Don't?! " Natalie laughs and nudges me
"One thing of advice we give you now is to stay away from Louise and her boyfriend" Jess says Kara nods
"Why?"
"Louise's boyfriend has a habit of dropping girls pretty easy so stay away from jerome" Natalie warns
"Louise is just a piece of shit" I say
And Ashley laughs and nudges me
"Alright citizens off to class" Kara says as the bell rings signifying lunch is over
"See you all later, oh Alanna meet us after school-"
"If you can" Jess interrupts
"Yes if you can here" I say handing her an address
"We do homework and listen to music and just chill for however long it takes"
Alanna's face lights up
"Sure" she says and Ashley and Natalie drag her away to there class
Kara and Jess head off to theres and I head down the corridor to my class
"Sarah?" Some says behind me and places a hand on my shoulder
I turn around to see the last person I wanted to talk to
"Jerome" I say pulling on the straps of my backpack
"Whatever you think you saw in the dining hall wasn't anything, I only have eyes for Louise" I roll my eyes
"Kay Jerome, so I wanted to ask you how your relationship is going with you moving back to Florida?" His face turns pale
"Y-you- h-how"
I stop and turn around and glare at him making him bump into me
"I know a lot of thinks about every student in this school... So how are you gonna break the news to Louise hmm? That your moving? How do most long distant relationships end Jerome?" I say and turn around heading for my class
"Sarah"
"Jerome, no"

Girls seem to like the boys who don't appreciate all the money and the time that it takes, to be fly as a mother

I stormed in and the kids tried to trip me but I kicked them eating howls of pain coming from several students
"G'mornin class"
"Hello" the class responded
"I know this week seems like we're earning more students than ever but I'd like to welcome two new students" two boys about the same height stood shoulder to shoulder obviously friends but both looked half way up not meeting anyone's eyes
"This is Mitchell Hughes" he said motioning to the light brown haired boy with hazel eyes that I could see even from where I sat
The next boy stood up a little bit more confidently
"This is Preston Arsement" he had chocolate brown hair and eyes the color of a coconut shell
"Mitch You'll be partnered with Sarah- Sarah would you be a dear and raise your hand" I gave a small wave and Mitch jogged over
"Preston you'll be part of..." He stopped and looked at the groups
"Hmmm"
"How about you pick a group" Preston nods and jogs over to me and Mitch
"Hey, I'm Sarah no need to introduce yourselves" Preston and Mitch both nod as Mr. O' Sullivan starts to draw on the white board.
"Where are you from?" I wrote on my notebook
"Paper really?" Mitch writes
"Texas" Preston wrote
"Mitch's from Montreal" Preston wrote
"Wow what made you guys move all the way to Washington?" Mitch twiddles his thumbs and Preston writes something and then scribbles it out
"Family problems" Preston writes
Mitch looks at the paper blankly before Preston writes
"Also FAM problems" he wrote
I looked to the two boys
"I know some guy friends who might like you guys... If not you can join me and my girls" I write Prestons face cracks into a smile
"Either way is fine" Mitch writes
"I'm gonna cold call on Sarah"
I looked up quick as a whip
"What is the circumference of this circle?"
I stopped
if the radius is-
-the next day-
"Jess, Alanna, Natalie, and Ashley this is Mitch and Preston" I say motioning to the two boys Jess's eyes are locked on Mitch
"Rob! Lachlan!" I yell to the other side of the hallway
Rob and Lachlan's head snap when they Hear my voice
"Hey Sarah" Lachlan says side hugging me
"Lachlan, rob, 1) new kid Alanna" I say motioning to Alanna and she waves
"2) this is Preston and Mitch "
"Hey guys" rob says Lachlan waves he's such a cutie patootie
"Are we still up for study hall and ice cream" Lachlan says
Natalie, Ashley, and Jess smile and start chanting
"Ice cream ice cream"
"we're literally 4 years old" Rob says I nod
Suddenly I hear my name being called
"Sarah? Can we talk?"
Fucking. Jerome.
"Jerome" I say and Preston and Mitch look at each other
"Excuse me" Alanna gives me a side look
"Here I uh brought money" I fold his hand over the money
"What did I tell you
•no money"
"Sarah please"
"I told you to let me sleep on it" I huff and walk away
"Sarah"
