Chapter 20 The weight

I wanna go back forget that it's over paint it in black, when you left me alone

-Kaitlyn-
"Lachlan?" I notice the tall blonde Australian Frame
"Lachlan!" I yell across the street and he notices me
"Kaitlyn!" He says running across the street
"Oh my gosh it's been way too long!" I say
He bites his lip "yeah"
I know that look

I never knew she was sleeping next door with the kid I grew up with, and I can't go back to her anymore...

"Lachlan what's going on?" I ask he turns his head even in the light of the street light his eyes look sunken and dark not like his ordinarily beautiful blue eyes,
"Do you wanna grab some coffee and then head back to my place?" He says
"It's getting kind of dark out..."
"Sure" there is small talk between us to the coffee shop...
And when we walk in little to no people are there.
I order a hot chocolate since I don't drink coffee... Lachlan orders a hot chocolate as well... And then we walk home... In silence again...he's well he used to be really spunky free spirited able to say what's on his mind.

You tell me you were happier with him but you want me to stay and you tell me that you needed time but you pushed me away.

"I'm sorry" I say
"What" he says leaving closer I can smell him he smells good.
"I'm sorry" I say again
"For what?" I put a hand to cover my eye
"That I left, I left because I-"
"Shh" he pulls me into his strong frame
" let's go inside" he says
I nod
Lachlan pulls out a chair for me
"Thanks"
"Continue" he says
I take a deep breath
"I-I left because I couldn't bear to watch my best friend go out with you"

And when you try to take me back my heavy heart just breaks, no I can't lift the weight.

"When we were growing up it was You,Me and Mackenzie" (sorry and Mackenzies I just find the name to mean evil)
"And then Mackenzie told me she had a crush on you and my heart just broke, I was jealous and shy, I didn't want anyone else to have you"
I take another deep breath and then a sip of my hot chocolate.
"So I moved to America, I met a boy named Nate and he asked me out and it went well until I found out my American friend was sleeping with him, and so I changed my number and left for the only place I thought I could...." Lachlan hugs no squeezes me

Put you in the past try to forget you cause it's over and every time you ask I'll pretend I'm okay, you're inside my head in the middle of the night when I don't feel right I dream I can hold you, and I can't go back to her anymore...

"Well when you left I never forgot you, I missed you and wondered why you left and soon after Mackenzie went next door and slept with billy...." I move closer
"So when you just appeared out of nowhere... My life was once again changed, I found the light that I had lost" he takes my hand
" and I never plan to let her go"

You tell me you were happier with him, but you want me to stay and you tell me that you needed time but you pushed me away...

I hug Lachlan tightly.
He squeezes me back.
"Do you want to go out?"
I smile one if my widest smiles
"I thought you would never ask" and we jump down the stairs ....

Chapter 1 of stupid 20 year olds doing stupid things

We skip arm in arm I'm surprised we didn't fall since it's so dark and we could barely see, it's early fall here and I just came from America so it was like spring, Lachlan takes off his jacket and holds it out for me, we then stop in a store that I can't remember that well...
Lachlan pulls me aside to the jackets
I smile at him and take off his jacket he's freezing cold, I take a black and grey jacket off of the wall...
I take it to the desk and hand the man my credit card before Lachlan can pull his out.
I pull on my jacket while taking the tags off. Me and Lachlan end up getting another hot chocolate and then just wandering around...
