Chapter 3 Mirrors

~this was made for my best friend Kaitlyn so

~Nate~
Aren't you something to admire?
Cause your shining something like a mirror

It had happened just this year
We had just started dating

And I can't help but notice
You reflect in this heart of mine

Every thing was going fine
and then she just
Disappeared

If you ever feel alone and the glare makes me hard to find
Just know that I'm always parallel on the other side

Was it something I did?

What did I do Kaitlyn?
I think while running my hands across the picture of us that one of her friends had taken it was our absolute favorite
Kaitlyn was sitting on her horse while laughing because I had just mentally fallen out of the foot thingys (yes I know they are called stirrups shut up)

Cause with your hand in my hand and a pocket full of soul

I let the tears start but never let them fall

I can tell you there is no place we couldn't go just put your hand on the glass

"Nate?"
Am I hallucinating
her voice echoed throughout my brain

I shook my head a few times
"She's not here shape up"
"Keep your control she will show up"

"Nate!"
The loud voice echoes
I place my hand over my ears
"Nate!"
I fall against the wall
My head became friends with the wall that day

It's like your my mirror
My mirrors staring back at me
I couldn't get any bigger
With anyone else beside me

"Stop it"
I said repeatedly
While hitting my head against the wall
"Nate! Stop!"
The soft velvet voice called
Warning me

And now it's clear as this promise
That we're making two reflections into one

I pulled my head away from the wall
My head pounding
"Go" the angelic voice said with love

I'm looking right at the other part of me

I the pounding started soothing down when I walked towards my room
My younger brother judah asked if I was okay
I just nodded my head
And played hot and cold with my head

I went into the bathroom
Splashed some water onto my face
But when I looked up I saw
Her
"Nate?" She said with a smile and tears falling down her face
I reach out to wipe her tears when the glass stops me
She jumps back
"Nate" she says with more tears
"Kaitlyn"

Yesterday is history
Tomorrows a mystery
I can see you looking back at me
Keep your eyes on me

She nodded more tears fell as she pressed her hands to the glass
I placed mine over her dainty delicate glass outlines

"Nate can you hear me?"
I slowly open my eyes the light is bright but I nod my head my head feels like it is in a blender

"Where's Kaitlyn" I managed out
My mom had tears in her eyes
"Honey"
"Kaitlyn is still missing"

I said my mom gave me a puzzled look before turning to my dad
He gave me a sympathetic look
"Nate"
He started out slowly

The dainty small voice echoed in my head
I turned my head from my dad
"Nate- listen to me... The truth..."
I laid on my side
My dad sighed
"She's gone Nate missing for almost a year" my dad said letting his hand fall
"What happened to me?" I said a bit angrily
"No one is sure...entirely your brother heard glass shattering and found you on he floor with glass in your head"

That were making two two reflections into one

I said quietly my mother side hugged me
My dad rubbed my back

As soon as they left I slowly got dressed
And carefully but fast took out the few IV's an alarm went off and I was out that window

I followed the voice
"Nate!"
I was drawn to an ally a few blocks away from my house
There in the ally stood the smashed mirror

I stood up and turned around
The damp light just barely showed her blonde hair
