Chapter 34 > talk me down<

I wanna sleep next to you, But that's all I wanna do right now, And I wanna come home to you, But home is just a room full of my safest sounds, Cause you know that I can't trust myself with my 3AM shadow, I'd rather fuel a fantasy than deal with this alone

"Umf" I said reaching a hand to my forehead as Ms. A and melody landed beside me
"Are you both alright?" I asked standing up, looking around seeing we're in the music room and helping melody up
"Yeah-Yeah I think I'm alright" Melody said
"Mel-melody you can hear?" I asked and she stood there for a second and gasped
"I-I can still hear" she said happily
"Oh melody dear" Ms.A said happily clapping her hands together
"But why are we in here?" I asked
"I-I have not a clue" Melody and Ms. A said
'We were watching the performance and you passed out on top of vikk and disappeared and than so did we" Melody said
"than how do we know if anybody else was also taken?" I asked
"we don't, we just assume that-"
"Oh my god" a voice interrupted melody
"You were- your supposed to be- how are you-?" It was Mitch I gave him a questionable look
"You three have been gone for 5 months where the hell were you?!" Mitch yelled
"Preston is absolutely torn up about you being in a coma" Mitch said
"Excuse me coma, I'm right here" I said
"Glob what if we're dead guys just floating around the earth and Mitch is like a ghost seer" Mitch walks up to me and pokes me in the arm
"Okay we're not dead" I said
"EXCUSE ME IM STILL HERE DONT IGNORE ME!" Mitch said
"Yeah I'm aware" I said
Melody signed to me
-I don't need all this attention going to
pretend I can't speak- and I nodded to her
"How-" Mitch is interrupted by his phone
"Hey Preston-"
"yeah "
"You wouldn't believe this but I'm standing right in front of her" Mitch said
"Uhh the orchestra room" Mitch said
"Yeah see ya" he said
"5 months" I said to melody
"Ms. A-" ms. A had disappeared
"Uhhhh Ms. A?"
"I-uh- don't think Preston will be too happy that you're back" Mitch said making me turn back to him
"I wouldn't either, but why exactly?" I asked
"Preston Well he's sort of moved on from liking you, ever since you went into a coma a bunch of girls tried to be super supportive and be the true "girlfriend" type and Preston was ignoring them, until SHE showed up" Mitch said, I frowned
"Well until the lovely couple gets here let me tell you where I was or what I was dreaming during my coma" I said and we sat down in one of the chairs as I told the story Melody signing beside me and Mitch picking up some of it but not all because she was signing so fast

I wanna sleep next to you, but that's all I wanna do right now, so come over now and talk me down

"Holy shit" a familiar voice  interrupted me
"He swore" Mitch's voice said as he tried to silence a small chuckle. I stood up and turned to Preston a girl ran behind him
"Oh my god, he brought her" Mitch whispered under his breath and crossed his arms and took my spot next to melody signing slowly to her and she signing back.
"Oh hi" I said quietly
"No DONT 'oh hi' me" Preston says loudly making the girl next to him jump and sending a shiver up her spine
"How could you just run out of the hospital and not even notify anyone" the girl says and Preston turns to er shocked
"You've made everyone worried sick about you" the girl said crossly and I just stood there a blank face.... with no emotion how do I react. Preston is Mad, this girl is mad, and Mitch is being really supportive and trying not to get in the middle.
"Don't just stand there. Explain yourself" the girl said and I stood there with a shocked expression on my face
Think of something you idiot! Would they really believe you were in a steampunk realm fighting evil versions of them. IMPROVISE!
I said nothing, I stood there and signed to Melody 'what do I do!'
Melody sat for a bit.
"I'm still here" the girl said
"I c-I don't know" I said holding my hands and tilting my head downwards
"You made Your parents worried sick! You made Preston worried sick! Explain yourself" she said and walked up to me an slapped me
"Maybe that'll help you!-"
"Whoah whoah Whoah Paige!" Preston said running up to Paige and grabbing her and pulling her back
