Chapter 7
POV: Unknown
I ran and ran and ran but it seemed like they kept getting closer. I looked back at the horrible sight of fifteen or so of those things chasing me. I thought it might be different here. I thought it hadn't hit here. At least not yet... I need to find him before its to late, either for me or him.
I pulled out one of my many guns and pulled down my mask. I shot over my shoulder at the monsters. How did they all get in his house? And why? I didn't see any blood or bodies in there. Who would have thought that so many zombies were dumb enough to get stuck in that house? Not me. After I went through a clip of ammo, I looked back to find only five zombies standing. I grabbed a new clip from my self-made ammo belt, reloaded, turned around and gave 'um hell. Head shot! Head shot! Head shot! Head shot! And head SHOT!
"More adrenaline then you'll get from a game." I thought aloud.
I looked around. No more zambies. Thank God. But where am I? Italy's streets were complicated in my opinion and sense I've been running over bridges and and through streets trying to escape zombies without using a lot of ammo, I wasn't really keeping track of where I was going.
I jumped on top of a random car in the middle of the road and pulled up my mask to breath more easily. I had made the mask into a filter for cleaner air. It was a little harder to breath from but did the job.
After a few minutes I was about to get up from the car when I saw another car. It was coming my way. This was the first moving car I've seen in Italy. My heart began to race as I sat criss-cross on top of the car. I pulled down my mask and didn't move a muscle. The car I was sitting on was in the middle of the road. I didn't know if I should ran or stay. Before I could decide the car came to a stop in front of me. I gulped down my fear and placed a hand on my holstered gun, not moving from the car. I was still siting criss-cross when a little girl jumped out of the drivers side of the car, a gun in hand. Her shirt was splattered why blood and her face was emotionless, but her eyes screamed with fear. I cocked my head, confused. What the heck is going on? I was just siting on a car.
"G-get o-off the car. P-please." She stuttered and raised her gun.
I held my hands up. "Okay, okay." I said calmly as I started to uncross my legs.
"Put the gun down!" I heard a muffled voice.
I darted my head to the passenger side of the car. The voice was familiar. A man popped out of the car with his head in his hand. He let out a painful groan and looked up at me. His face had some dry blood on the side of it and his temple had a makeshift bandaid across it. "Cry? Is that you?" The man asked.
I smiled and jumped off the car. "Pewds!" I yelled as I wrapped him in a MANLY hug. I let him go and pulled off my mask.
"Oh my god. I almost shot Cry!" The young girl shrieked. She ran over and pulled me and Pewds into another hug. I chuckled and Pewdie groaned in pain then laughed along with me.
"Who's she?" I asked, with a smile.
"She's a Bro. Her names-"
"My name is Emma!" She cut off Pewds. She looked up at me, astonished. She backed up a few steps. She just stared at me. I smirked, finding it a little funny. She covered her mouth and her eyes widened.
"Is this what everyone would do if they saw me?"
"Possibly." Pewds chuckled.
The girl that I now know as Emma, let out a little shriek.
"I think this is the best zombie apocalypse ever." She smiled at me and Felix.
"Where's Marzia?" I asked an apparently bad question. Emma stopped 'fangirling' and Felix stopped smiling. "What?" I asked another stupid question.
"We have to find her." Felix frowned.
After an awkwardly long silence, Felix invited me to join them in finding Marzia. We pushed the car they found me on out of the way and we piled into the car. Since Felix was not in the condition to drive and I wasn't comfortable with a 13 year old girl driving in a zombie apocalypse or any other situation for that matter, I drove.
"So, where exactly are we going?" I broke the silence that had been lingering in the car for around fifteen minutes.
"Gothenberg." Emma quickly answered me.
"Isn't that you're-" I started to ask.
"Yep." Felix answered before I could finish my sentence.
"Well, do we have a map?"
"Just some screen shots on my phone." Emma pointed to the IPhone on the portable car charger.
I grabbed the phone and pulled up the pictures. Her photo album was full of Pewds, me, Marzia, and pictures of her with a woman that I assumed was a relative. I smiled at the photos until she leaned foreword and clicked on the map photo. She let out a quiet, innocent laugh and leaned back in her seat. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw her cheeks beaming red.
