I hurriedly wiped the dried drool from my mouth and slowly turned around.

The man I was met with was not one of the men from before. I would have rememberd him. He was wearing a snug fitting black crew neck top and black skinny jeans. He was definitely built, but not overly large like a body builder. His black hair looked like he had run his hand through it a large number of times, but was still soft, with some of it falling on his forehead. His faced was incredibly defined, paired with a faint beard. There was tattoos littering his arms, and I could see some tattoos creeping out of his top and trailing to his neck.

"Katherine?"

Our eyes met when he said my name, whether it was the first time he had said it, I wasn't sure, but it was like warm honey to my ears, and that warm feeling only persisted, in fact, got warmer, when I finally looked him in the eyes for the first time.

"How do you know who I am?" He chuckled lowly, rubbing his hand against his mouth, not breaking eye contact once.

"That is a story for another time, but why don't you come downstairs and have a chat with your brothers and I?" His mouth turned up in to a small small as he extended his hand to me.

I looked at Kohl and Xavier, both of them holding stern looks on their face, with Kohl staring at the gorgeous man in front of me and Xavier staring at me. It was in that moment that I remembered my headache and held my hand to my head.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I'm up for that right now, I've had a long day, my head is pounding, I think I'm just going to head back to bed.

I turned around and kept walking up the stairs. "Katherine." His voice almost brought me to a stop, I'm sure he could tell I faltered, but I didn't stop, and continued toward my bedroom.

I had stunned the guest in to staying at the bottom of the stairs, and so I had made it to my room without further interruption. I took a drink of my water that was sitting on my night stand and snuggled back under my covers.

"Noah stop! She's resting! Don't you fucking -"

I felt the air rush towards me as my door swung open. I met eyes with the stranger once again and sat up in my bed.

"I told you guy, I'm really not in the mood to talk to anyone. I don't know you, my head is pounding, I really just want to sleep. Xavier, please get your friend out of my room. This is weird now."

"Noah, let's go."

"No Xavier, I've heard enough of your bullshit, I've already told you what she is to me, human or not she is mine." They were whisper yelling, taking in to account for my headache, but I forgot about that as Noah finished his sentence.

"Yours? Excuse you? I don't even know you. Xavier, this is really starting to freak me out now. This isn't funny."

Noah looked me dead in the eye. "I'm not kidding princess." I couldn't tell if the warm feeling was really just my body telling me to vomit.

"She's human Noah. Remember that." I broke off eye contact with Noah and looked at Xavier, my face a deep display of confusion.

"No shit I'm human, we all are. What the fuck is going on Xavier? Kohl?"

"Just let me have a minute alone with her, you know I'm not going to do anything to harm her."

"Hello? I'm right fucking here? I don't need a minute alone with you, I don't even fucking know you?" I was beginning to panic as I saw the contemplation in my brothers' eyes, and then eventual agreeance as they slowly backed out of the room, leaving Noah alone.

"If we hear anything, and I mean anything happening other than talking then we're kicking you out of our house, and out of our territory. Do you understand?" Noah nodded.

I could feel the panic rising in my chest, my heart rate was accelerating, and both hit their peak as the door closed on Kohl and Xavier and Noah was still in my room. I stood up from my bed, backing up toward the other side of my room.

"It's okay princess." Noah's eyes were soft, trying to show me that he wouldn't hurt me.

"I don't know what is happening, but I don't know you. Do they owe you something? I can pay you, I swear. You don't need to do this." I forced the words out through my throat that was now tight. A tear had slipped out, but I couldn't control it. I couldn't understand why they would do this to me.

"I'm not going to touch you, I just want to talk." He had reached my bed at this point and sat down. I had reached the end of the other side of my room, right next to my window. It was slightly ajar, and I was trying to form an escape plan without making it obvious. I think I'd break a leg, but at this point it was worth it.

"You don't need to be afraid. I'm not here to hurt you, I can hear how fast your heart is beating. Please relax before you go in to shock."

"Easy for you to say." My laugh was dry as I still tried to fight tears.

"I just want to talk".
