I had fallen back asleep fairly quickly, I had been exhausted. Noah had escorted me back to my room, leaving me with a parting smile as he went back to his. It was strange waking up without him present though, I could feel the slight pull that wanted me to go and find him, be in his presence, but the bed was far too comfortable. I spread my arms out wide, stretching and smiling to myself. I pushed myself up on my elbows when I heard the light tapping on my door.

"Come in." I covered myself in the blanket, feeling vulnerable in the loose fitting shirt I had on.

Noah peeked through the door and as I felt the relief rush through me I sunk back down in to the bed.

"Come on, you need to get up Katherine, it's 11am." I laughed at him softly.

"Only 11?" I lifted my head up slightly, looking at Noah, chuckling.

"We're going for a run, get up." He gave me a stern look before closing the door. I sat up, huffing in annoyance.

"Kill joy."

Dragging myself out of the bed, I made my way towards the little ensuite. Checking myself out in the mirror, I decide to put my hair in a pony tail before brushing my teeth, worrying about showering later. It hadn't appeared to me before how clean I was. I felt like I should have been smellier, sticky with sweat, but I wasn't, and I wasn't prepared to think about why that was and who would have been behind that. Shaking my head, I walked towards the closet, grabbing out a pair of leggings and a semi-loose fitting top, grey on black.

I exited the room, being much more wary of my surroundings and the fact that Noah's brother might be lurking around. I made my way to my right, silently hoping that this was the right way to exit the house. I made a few more turns, chanting to myself, 'if you're unsure, then just turn right.' Apparently though, this was not the right way to think as I came to a halt at the end of a hallway that was just lined with doors, which I more than assumed were bedrooms. I knew that I could no longer trust my self navigation, so I tried to focus on my sense of smell, hopefully I would be able to sniff Noah out.

After standing around, nose pointing towards the sky like a deranged dog, I gave up, deciding to retrace my steps. You would figure that it's only a house, why would I get lost in a house? If only, I thought to myself, the house wasn't some sort of Addams family mansion. Rounding one of the corners, my head down and focused , I smacked in to a chest, and I exhaled loudly when I felt the sparks, knowing who it was instantly.

"You really need to stop leaving after telling me that we're going somewhere, I literally have no sense of direction in this place." I put my hand on my hip and looked up, scolding Noah.

"I'm sorry that I assume you know where you're going." He rolled his eyes at me which warranted a smack on the arm.

"Don't be an asshole, you know I don't know where I'm going." He huffed, but followed it with a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Lets stop in the kitchen before we go, I'm hungry, I'm sure you are too miss 'it's only 11am'" He waved his arms in the air for affect as he attempted to mock me.

I grunted as he lead the way to the kitchen. I could hear and feel my stomach grumbling, I was cursing as I really didn't want to admit that he was right. We made it in no time to the kitchen, which really bothered me as I had spent so long wondering aimlessly, and in my stupor, I began to pout, which Noah had noticed, grabbing my chin lightly, forcing me to look up at him.

"Are you okay Katherine?" He eyes me worriedly.

"Just annoyed, it's fine though." I looked down and sighed dramatically.

He chuckled lightly but ran his hand across my cheek, holding me there for a second whilst kissing me on my forehead, I don't think I would get used to the sparks though, it was so strange.

"Okay, so what do you want to eat?"

I thought about it for a second, and I really couldn't pin point anything in particular.

"Maybe just a sandwich?" Noah chuckled,

"Okay, are you sure though? You didn't sound too positive about it?"

"Yeah, I don't know, I can't really think of anything I guess."

"Ham and cheese?"

"Sounds great." I smiled at Noah before he turned around to start making the sandwiches.

I looked around the kitchen, it had become clear to me that it was always unusually quiet when I was roaming the halls, except for my one encounter with Noah's brother.

"Noah?"

"Yes princess?" I squished my nose at the pet name.

"Where is everyone? This is the pack house right?"

"Yeah, but for the moment, they stay in their rooms or they lounge outside, as long as they're away from you."

"What?" I was in complete shock.

"I know that you were already reluctant to come here, so I didn't want to freak you out anymore, I thought it was for the best."

"No that isn't for the best, I don't want your pack cooped in this house, they're free to do what they want Noah, I mean, the fact that they're not here is freaking me out more, kind of." He passed me the sandwich, and as our eyes connected, his glazed over, like he wasn't really looking at me, maybe speaking to his pack.

And that was when I heard it, like a stampede of elephants on barren land. Once Noah had become focused, he gave me a worried look. I took the sandwich and tried to finish as much as I could before the stampede got closer and I could hear footsteps on the stairs.

"I think maybe I should.. I mean we should just go." I silently agreed with Noah, bobbing my head up and down as he grabbed my arm and led me towards his backyard.

I have no idea what happened guys, I thought this chapter was actually finished and saved and properly published, and then I actually had a look today and there was like 3 paragraphs and I was really confused because I swear I wrote it guys.

Oh well, it's fully updated now, working on the next chapter!

I would also like to point out how I don't often express how happy I am with this books progression and the reads that it has, I mean, to me, 2.5k is a lot. So thank you guys.

And also, I know I ask for comments and whatnot, but I get it, a lot of you are ghost readers, not going to lie, I am too, but I still know you're there and that's all that matters in the end anyway!

Enough with this nonsense though, and sorry about the glitch in the matrix that was half a chapter.
