We arrived at the Gamma's house right on time, maybe a couple minutes late, but pretty close.
"Hey Bryan!" My brother gave him a cheerful smile as we both entered.
"Hey Xavier! And hey Katherine, I didn't expect to see you here tonight." You and me both Bryan.
"Yeah, well I thought this was a good excuse to leave the house." I forced a smile in Bryan's direction. As I looked around I noticed that what I thought was late, was apparently really early, as there was no one in sight.
"Cool. Xavier follow me, the meeting is about to start. Katherine make yourself at home." Bryan flashed another smile and I nodded my head.
As Xavier and Bryan walked away I decided to check out the house, it was cute, but it looked a little bit too big to be the house of the third in command, I could only imagine Noah's house. I stopped in my tracks, my eyes getting larger. If this was an important pack meeting, that means Noah is here. Shit. Shit shit shit. We didn't exactly start or end on good terms. I now had a task, avoid Noah.
I continued my self-made tour around the house, heading to the second level which was just rooms. One of the rooms said 'office', and being the nosey individual I was, I walked in. The room was covered in paper, I wouldn't have even noticed the desk if I didn't look hard enough. I walked behind the desk which also apparently had a laptop on it and I opened it. Noah's name flashed up followed by the prompt for a password. That was odd. I closed the lid and looked at the other papers. All for Noah. Why would the third in command have an office in his house for Noah... unless this wasn't the Gammas house. But Xavier said... maybe plans changed? I put the papers back down and raced out of the room, closing the door quietly.
"Well glad we got that sorted out." How convenient that it was Noah's voice coming up the stairs. I was dead. I was puppy chow. I spun around quickly and pretended to be very interested in the wall next to the office.
"Katherine?"
Shit. I casually turned around, acting like I hadn't just been snooping in his office.
"Kohl! Thank Jesus I thought it was someone else!" I bent over, pressing my hands against my knees, letting out a nervous laugh.
"You shouldn't be up here Katherine, not near the Alpha's office, come with me." Kohl was being stern, which was unusual for him. But did he just say Alpha's office?
"Go to the backyard, the party has started." He gave me a hard glare and walked off.
I made a beeline towards the alcohol, this would help in numbing the pain I felt. I got a cup and pressed down on the hose for the Keg, filling my cup up to the rim and walking away. The backyard was huge, making the hundred or so people that had arrived seem like 50. The pool had been sectioned off by glass panels, think Olympic size pool, which was ridiculous for a backyard. As I wondered around the house, I unconsciously drank a majority of what was in my cup. So I went back towards the keg.
*30 minutes later*
Who the fuck do these people think they are. Trying to grind on me and spilling my drink everywhere, this was good alcohol. I think I walked straight toward the inside of the house, only to be met with a thud, and the realisation the thud came from my head connecting with the glass door. Good thing I'm slightly drunk. I very skilfully opened the door to find more party goers inside. I had still been able to avoid Noah, or maybe he was avoiding me. Well screw him. I set my cup down on a table and grabbed one that was full. Half of it was gone in a mouthful.
I leant against one the walls when I started to hear the girls squealing and laughing,
"Like pigs."
I said aloud. I giggled to myself at how ingenious I was. I stumbled toward the sound to find girls with their shirts off doing body shots. Everyone was facing the opposite wall so I was able to just observe, and by observe I mean trip and fall sending my drink flying all over one the girls heads. She immediately got up, spilling the shot and advancing towards me. I tried to play cool but you can't play cool when you're swaying from side to side.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing." She was slurring her words which made me believe she wasn't far off from the state I was in.
"I just wanted -hiccup- to join in" she looked at me pointedly before laughing.
"Okay weirdo, shirt off."
I had now realised my mistake of wearing a t-shirt dress.
"Come on, let's go!" As she increasingly got impatient, I took of the dress. Good thing I was wearing matching undergarments. I smiled proudly, only to realise that I wasn't and my underwear was a light pink lace and my bra was green, good job. I mentally smacked myself.
The boys that had continued to take shots during the confrontation had only just begun to tune in once I had taken of my clothes, leading me to pull my arms around myself.
"What the fuck Katherine?"
I connected eyes with Noah. Now if I was sober, I would have stopped what I was doing, but I was far from sober.
"Yes princess." I laughed at the name he had once called me.
"Put your dress back on." The level of anger he had reached didn't register to me as I laughed at him.
"Nope." I popped the 'p' sound and proceeded towards the table that I had to lie down on.
