By the time I had gotten to the car I felt like ripping the door off. I'd gotten increasingly angry, and was dwelling on it, which had made it much worse. I refrained from ripping the door open to the extent of destroying the vehicle and got in the back seat, shoving my bag next to me, crossing my arms and huffing in anger.

I watched Noah as he approached the car, slowly, opening the door with slight hesitation, only looking at me briefly as he knew how I was feeling and probably didn't want to make me any angrier. I didn't turn around to look at the house one last time as Noah was driving off, they deserve this, I'm not going to give them the courtesy of showing how sad I actually am about leaving.

"Katherine?" Noah's voice was soft when he spoke.

"Mmm?"

"I'm the cause of your brother being so angry and I apologise." He sounded sincere, but I tried my best to ignore it.

"I don't want to talk about them for the next two weeks okay?" I saw him nod his head twice before concentrating on the road again.

"...Katherine"

"What?" I could feel how groggy I was and knew that I had fallen asleep, as well as the shaking and the drool on my face being an indicator.

"Come on, get up, we're here." I rubbed my eyes with both hands, yawning and stretching my body out soon after. It was still extremely dark so we hadn't been driving for long, although how long I wouldn't know.

"How long did it take to get here?"

"Just a couple of hours. Come on, grab your bag, I know you're tired."

Noah undid my seatbelt before backing off and letting me get out of the car with my bag. I struggled to carry it, my arms being slack from being asleep, but I tried to act like I could do it.

"Here, pass me the bag." I passed it to him willingly, he let out a small huff as I dropped it in his hand.

"Two weeks here yet it feels like you packed enough for a year."

"I need a lot of things." He chuckled slightly but dropped the subject.

"How far do we need to walk?" We had just entered what seemed to be an entrance to a forrest when I started to become wary of my surroundings.

"We'll be there in a couple of minutes, just calm down, I can hear how fast your heart is beating."

I screwed up my face, it wasn't comforting knowing he could figure out how I was feeling by just listening that little bit more. I didn't do too well with guarding my feelings either, so I was an open book.

My vision was becoming cloudy, I was falling asleep whilst walking, I hadn't realised how tired I was. My footing had become sloppy, I was tripping over the smallest do branches, not being able to pay attention.

"We're here." I look up from my feet and am welcomed with the sight of a very large house. It was looked old, but modernised, with a simple colour palette for the facade, blacks, whites, greys. I felt it suited Noah well. I yawned obnoxiously to let him know that I was more than ready to go inside and go to sleep, and he took the hint, using his hand on the small of my back to guide me forward.

I was oblivious to my surroundings as he walked me through the house, too focused on trying not to fall asleep before reaching a bed. The only thing that caught my eye was the huge outside area, but then again, this house was just surrounded by forestry, so it made sense for there to be room beyond what I could comprehend for a backyard.

After climbing one set of stairs, I quickly found myself facing another set and groaning slightly. I dragged myself up each step, Noah was being patient and trying to help me as much as possible without intruding on my personal space, and made it to the top with a breathy sigh. We walked just a tad more down the hallway that seemed to be lined with doors, before Noah stopped in front of one and opened it up for me.

"This is where you'll be staying for the two weeks, it should have all of the amenities you need, if not, just let me know." He had a concerned look on his face, scanning the room vigorously before sighing and letting me through.

He left my bag just near the door to the right and murmured a small goodnight before exiting the room. I took of my sweatpants immediately, along with my top and walked to the bed slowly, just being extra cautious about my surroundings. I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary and relaxed, practically collapsing in the bed and fell asleep.
