They both stare at me with guilty yet sad looks, probably asking themselves what my choice will be. Not knowing there won't be a choice because I don't want to break them apart.
But what about us?
"Mandy we thought you'd prefer being in a room alone than with one of us two, so we got a room and just next to ours there's yours, all for yourself. Is that okay?" Dad asks bringing the luggage to where I was sitting in the lounge.
It's early in the morning but I've got a jetlag so I'm very tired. We have driven from the airport to our hotel admiring the huge skyscrapers that cover NewYork and make her special.
The twins got their rooms about fifteen minutes ago, since then I've been trying to figure out the wifi password without success, because the workers here keep on telling me that without a room I have no wifi. So now I've got a room so give me the freaking wifi password.
I nod quickly, and he hands me the key to my room and a small piece of paper on which is written some kind of code.
"The wifi password!" I squeal as I type the code in quickly, and immediately get flooded with notifications "the struggle is real" I whisper to myself, giving my suitcase to the porter and following them in the lift.
My dad presses level 20, with a smile and the doors slowly shut.
"That's like so tall" I exclaim looking at the passing of the levels.
"7,8,9,10" Kate says following my gaze "it's so quick!"
In a matter of no time we are at level 20, and ready to get out. I quickly rolled my trolley into the corridor and started walking down, scanning each wooden door for my number. My parents were jogging behind me, trying to keep up with me, making small talk about the hotel and the view we will have from our rooms.
"Amanda?" My dad says stopping for breath. I turn around quickly stopping too "I forgot to tell you that, our rooms are suites, so please treat it well" he says with a worried smile.
"It's fine dad, I'm not some kind of devilish teenager ready to destroy everything that turns around me." I tell him turning around again and walking once more down the hallway.
"She's a very dedicated girl honey, her room is always perfectly clean and tidy" my step mother says.
Once in front of room 190, I stop and smile at the difference this door had from the others. It's still made of wood, but it's a white wood, and on it is a shiny tag with the three golden numbers.
My parents stop a door before mine, which is a a long way down the hallway from mine. Which means the rooms are enormous. I quickly get the key from my pocket and slide it in the door. A green light appears on the monitor and I open the door wide.
In front of me was the living room. Which got me speechless because of its immensity and lux. It had glass windows, that were the replacement of the wall because of their height. The view was immediately New York City and its skyscrapers.
