Once done putting my shoes on, I grab my purse and head outside to the end of the long and silent corridor to get the elevator. My dad texted me a few minutes ago telling me they are all downstairs already having breakfast in the dining room of the hotel. The word all froze me before putting my shoes, meaning the twins are downstairs too, meaning I'll pass a day and maybe all my vacation here having awkward silences. Once at the elevator I anxiously press on the button making it light up and I look up at the floors passing by.
"Doors are opening" a female robotic voice says once the elevator appears and they slowly open, revealing unexpectedly Grayson, very well dressed holding up flowers and looking at a small piece of paper, rehearsing the words he has written on. He looks up surprised seeing me. I remain silent, entering the elevator and touching the ground floor button.
"Amanda" he says clearing his voice, I turn around to him "I'm so sorry" he says handing me the bouquet of different types of flowers. I look down at the daisies, roses and Poppy's making the perfect match.
"I might have to put them back in my room no?" I ask cutting him before he spoke, he just nods and taps the elevator button to ground 20. The elevator stops abruptly but starts going again up.
"Listen, I know I haven't been behaving properly. I wanna say sorry for yesterday night, I'm just so scared someone's gonna steal you from me. I've never really had a girlfriend and you're technically my first real one so I don't wanna lose you after a few days. It all went so quick. Ethan clearly still likes you and it's annoying me so much. For example yesterday I caught him stalking your Instagram and the day before he was staring at you. I'm not fine with that I bet you wouldn't be if you had a sister who has a crush on me." He says looking at me straight in the eyes. I look down, rethinking all of his words. The doors ding and open followed by the robotic voice. I start walking down the hallway and he walks next to me, silent waiting for my reply.
"Gray you know how I feel about you, you should know that now I'm with you and I only see you. Ethan for me is like my best friend, he's told me he has feelings but he said he would recover. We've already talked it through it was already decided. You just messed things up even more." I say walking down the corridor whilst my nose is stuck between the different flowers, smelling each one of them. Grayson frowns putting his hands in his pockets and looking down at his feet.
"Mandy I've told you already that I'm sorry, all I want is to forget it all and get back with you" he says standing next to the door whilst I unlock my rooms door. We both slide in and Grayson shuts the door. I walk up to an empty vase pick it up and fill it with water in the bathrooms sink. Once I walk out of the bathroom Grayson is standing next to the door his arms crossed and a small smile on his face. He's so beautiful.
I quickly put the flowers in the vase and run up to him, he opens his arms widely and I embrace this needed hug.
"I'm sorry too for always making a fuss about everything" I whisper, my head resting on his broad shoulders. He moves it and positions me in front of him, his eyes staring into mine.
"Mandy would you like to be my girlfriend again?" He asks, happiness filling his eyes but I pause.
I shouldn't be doing this, I'll lose Ethan forever if I accept, it'll just be me and Grayson and he'll hate us forever. I don't ever want that. But Grayson, me and him are the perfect match, two semi nerds sharing our thoughts, but Ethan has always been there for me.
I sigh, looking away, Grayson's smile slowly fades.
"Gray I'd love to, but what about Ethan? Doesn't it even bother you that I've been getting in between you two. You used to be so inseparable and because of me you don't even care about his feelings anymore" I tell him, looking away at the window, the sun reflecting its bright light through the building windows.
He stares at me intensively, drawing with his eyes every corner of my face making me blush and look away at the bouquet of flowers graciously put in the hotels vase.
"You're not interested in me anymore." He says with a firm face, looking away at the flowers too once I snap my head towards him.
"You have to be kidding me!" I sigh he looks back at me, I grab my purse and point the door to him, he quickly walks and opens it for me. I storm off to the elevator, his steps in the distance getting closer to me. Once in front of the elevator I take a deep breath with my eyes shut, he gently puts his hand on my shoulder letting out a little sorry as the elevator doors ding.
We both remain very silent in the elevator, so silent I could faintly hear his heartbeat fast next to mine, I could hear the attraction. I could feel the need of my body against his. We were like two magnets, attracted by each other even though we don't want to.
My head slowly turns to him, without my control anymore and I crash my lips onto his, he immediately reacts and places his hands on my cheeks making the kiss more intense making us ignore the elevator doors opening. Once we separate I gasp at the doors but soon calm down seeing the main entrance of the hotel is completely empty, not even the too joyful receptionists were there, it was just me and Gray.
"Think about it Mandy, and do listen to your heart" he says looking my way and stepping out of the elevator. I follow him out and into the breakfast room, which is to my full surprise empty too. Very empty.
"This is starting to creep me out" I murmur grabbing a donut from the buffet table next to me. Grayson walks out of the room and into the main entrance and we both notice something, something we didn't notice before. A crowd of crazy teenagers were circling the hotel screaming next to a few paparazzi and the hotel bodyguards blocking the entrance with so much difficulty.
We both look at each other and I drag Grayson inside the elevator before anyone could take a picture of us. He taps on a random number and the doors abruptly closes. I take out my phone from my bag and dial my dads number.
"Dad what's happening? Where are you guys?" I ask as soon as he answers with an anxious voice.
"Mandy are you two okay?" He asks ignoring my question with a preoccupied voice.
"Yes yes we are" I answer giving Grayson a glance he soon gives back.
"Okay so you have to pass through the staff room and walk to the back entrance, we are in the two black SUVs" my father says and hangs up.
"This feels like a James Bond movie" Grayson says making me roll my eyes and I press the ground floor button.
