- ½ cup flour
- ¼ cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp melted butte
- 3 tbsp whole milk at room temp.
- 1 small egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 oz semi sweet chocolate

-in a microwave safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt with a fork until combined.
-add in the melted butter, milk, egg and vanilla until it is all combined.
-place the small chocolate pieces in the center of the mug. do not push them in, they will sink to the bottom.
-pour the water on top of the batter and cook in the microwave for approximately 1 minute and 45 seconds or until the cake rises. the center should look moist but not raw. if you lightly touched the middle it should barely stick, it's done.
-let it cool for 5 minutes and enjoy! add ice cream or whip cream if you choose.--
