Katniss POV:
My name is Katniss Everdeen and I use to live in New York city. I liked it there. I had lots of friends and I knew all the right places to hang out. But then my dad died.
My mom went into a deep depression. Leaving me to care for my baby sister Primrose all by myself. Well she wasn't a baby but wasn't to old either.
For the longest time I hid it. But then my Aunt decided she was going to come over. When my Aunt Maysille came over she took one look at our mother and decided that there was no way she was going to let us live another week there and informed our Uncle (Haymitch) that we would be coming.
Aunt Maysilee went on and on about the schools there and the people but I wasn't listening. I didn't want to leave. Prim was happy.
Sweet little Prim. She hadn't taken to the slightly harsh way of New York and she hadn't done well with making friends here. No one could quite understand her. She was too pure.
Soon after Aunt Maysille told us to pack our things because we were moving to good old Idaho. Lovely. So here I am now. Packing. All my clothes in boxes and all small decorations and lamps wrapped in bubble wrap and put in boxes. Everything else I owned, packed in boxes.
I sigh and look out my window of our one story house. The streets are full of people even in my town.
"Are you all packed sweety?" My Aunt asks in her nicest tone knowing this must be hard for me. I've always loved my Aunt she's so sweet and never raised her voice above the normal talking voice. Even that was loud for her."Yah. Everythings packed." I grumbled as I looked at the boxes. Holding back the tears.
"Oh sweetheart." Aunt Maysille says and walks towards me her arms wide open. For some reason I was drawn to her. Maybe it was because for once someone cared. Someone loved me and cared for me. I hugged her back and tears started to run down my face.
"I promise you will like it there sweety, it's a very nice place and your Uncle works at the school." She tries as she rubs my back soothingly. "All I need from you is to try and like it there. I know you well enough to know that if you don't want to like something you won't like it." She says as she leans back a little still hugging me and giving me a soft smile.
I can't help but give her one back and then I let out a breathy laugh realizing even though the only time we really met each other was at her and my Uncles wedding when I was pretty sure she was crazy marrying my drunk Uncle who had no money. But from what it seems things have changed, if he had a job and they have a nice house, I guess I just assume he must be better. Anyway she still knew my stubbornness.
"Okay. I promise I will try." As soon as I said it she started beaming she was just so happy.
"Wonderful!" She said her smile growing even wider which I didn't know was even possible.
"Alright. Well we better get going so just grab the things you want for the ride and the moving company will do the rest!" She said as she walked out of the room still beaming. I sighed again once she walked around the corner. Well this was going to be fun.

After the Car Ride:I thought for sure my jaw was touching the ground when I saw the house outside my car door window. It was huge! Two storys high and thats not including the basement that I'm sure they have.
The house was long as well making it even bigger. There was also an attic that Aunt Maysilee talked about so does that make it three storys high?
