Seeeeee, you didn't have to wait long ;)

Oh these dumb boys. Let's keep going shall we?

"My baby!" Connie yells when her son enters the room. She wraps him in one of her bone crushing hugs and only lets go of him to embrace Mitch.

"Mom, let me hug my baby brother's boyfriend too," Lauren attempts to break them apart.

"Hello! I'm here. You could actually hug your baby brother." Scott pouts, annoyed that Mitch is getting all his family's attention.

"Don't worry Scotty, my mom will never let go of you when you come over." Mitch reassures Scott, smiling at his boyfriend.

"You didn't tell me you were going to Mitch's afterwards! I have to call Nel, we have a lot to talk about." Mitch sends a horrified look to the blonde.

Scott comes closer to him, whispering in his ear so no one hears," Don't worry, she'll forget about it."

"Like she'll forget about us?" His eyebrows raise in a questioning manner. "I don't want my mom involved in this Scott." He's shushed with a kiss on the cheek and a change in the subject so Connie doesn't have time to call anyone right now.

The first few hours are easy enough. It's only Scott's immediate family. Nobody's asking invasive questions. No one wants to watch them kiss or speak lovingly. It's simple and normal. They don't have to pretend to be madly in love and can't stand being apart for more than two minutes. They're just a bit more tactile than usual, but not really. They smile, they talk, they exchange looks, and everyone seems happy for them.

Things get a bit more hectic when everyone else arrives. His aunts and uncles all gushing about how adorable Mitch is, and Scott can't really say anything otherwise because they're right. But the worst one of them all is definitely his grandma. She spends at least ten minutes turning the brunette around, examining him from all angles before deciding that he's pretty enough for Scott. Scott wants to help him, he sees how red Mitch is, but he can't really do anything to take him away from his grandma. When she approves of him, Scott releases a breath he didn't realize he was holding. It's oddly comforting to see his grandma loving his boyfriend. Fake boyfriend. Whatever.

Most people start minding their own business and it gets simpler for them. They just stand together, talking to others about their classes and how college is going for them. It's easy and safe to discuss that. However, it gets a bit more complicated again when alcohol gets involved. One of Scott's aunt's is asking how they met, which is luckily an easy question to start off with, one they don't have to lie about to answer.

First day of college, Mitch was trying desperately to move his stuff to his dorm. Nobody was willing to help him, everyone being busy with their own things. He was carrying a box full of stupid things that reminded him of home, like postcards and pictures, candles and posters. He couldn't really see past the box he was carrying so he ran straight into Scott, Mitch being his clumsy self really. He expected someone to yell at him for being so careless, but instead he heard a fit of laughter. And that was it. They hit it off right from the start. After their first year of college they decided to get an apartment instead of staying in the dorms. Cheesy start of a relationship if you ask them, but it's the truth.

When questions start being asked about their loving relationship, they both get a bit on edge. They never talked about this topic, so when they're asked about how their friendship turned into something more, they're embarrassed. Fortunately, Scott's reddening face is enough for them to drop the matter. Apparently the family is more keen on teasing him than hearing their love story, which is fine by them.
