It's a shortie, but it's somethig. May be a while before I update again.

What woke Scott up was the pain in his head. It was throbbing and aching and it was a bitch. He knew it would be a long night out with the boys, but he was mentally cursing them for all the crazy that went on last night. As he was laying there, eyes still closed, he felt a weight on his chest... Vibrating. With a groan, he lifted his hands, feeling around, when he came in contact with something warm and soft. He peeked one eye open, wincing from the bright sunlight, and saw two pleased green eyes staring back at him.

"The hell?" He muttered.

Last thing he remembered was getting a cab to his shared apartment, not realizing he didn't have the keys and his roommate Alex was out of town. He remembered banging on the apartment door as if someone would be there to let him in anyways, before climbing up the fire escape and breaking in to the apartment. After that, it was all a blur. One thing he knew for sure though, was that he did not own a cat. He turned his head to look around the room, quickly noticing that this was in fact, not his apartment. Did he end up going home with someone else? He didn't recognize the place, so it would have to be someone he didn't know...He couldn't remember. Now he was really yelling at himself for all the drinking he did. His gaze then fell on the overstuffed armchair across the room. Curled in it was a dark haired man staring back at him with an arched eyebrow, cup of coffee in hand.

"Oh." He said, realization setting in.

This was not his cat. This was not his place. He was in the wrong apartment.

"You're lucky he likes you, or I for sure would've called the cops by now." The guy sitting in the armchair said, nodding towards the cat stretched out on his bare torso.

"I...have no idea how this happened." Scott admitted.

A smirk formed on the brunette's face as he set his cup of coffee down.

"You crashed through the fire escape around three this morning. Reminding me to keep it permanently locked by the way. You're also lucky I recognized that you actually live in this apartment complex, so I'll give you a few points for at least sort of making it to the right place, otherwise the cops really would've been called and you'd be sitting in a jail cell right now." He said, letting his legs down now. "Since I know you're Alex's roommate, how about you get dressed and we head over to the diner across the street."

"... Diner?" Scott asked, slowly sitting up, trying to ignore the room spinning around him.

The cat let out a loud meow, signaling he was quite unhappy, jumping off and running away.

"Yep." The man said, standing and fixing his side swept hair. "You need a cup of coffee and I need breakfast. You're buying by the way."

Searching around, he finally found his shirt, tugging it over his body.

"Shouldn't I at least know your name first?" Scott asked as they both slipped their shoes on.

The man glanced over his shoulder back at him, while Scott ran a hand through his messy hair.

"I don't know yet. Get me a stack of pancakes and we might be able to negotiate something." He smiled, showing his dimples, as he turned to walk out the door.

Scott followed with a smile playing on his lips. This may not have been such a bad thing after all.

"Is there any way I can convince you to not share this with Alex? I will never hear the end of it." He questioned as they stepped out into the hall.

The man laughed, shaking his head.

"That ship has sailed my friend. I've already sent him pictures."

Scott let out an exasperated groan, causing another giggle from the other man as they headed towards the elevator.
